Trump's personal data appeared on the darknet after a Russian hacker attack on a jewelry house
Hackers from the Conti group allegedly linked to Russia stole the personal data of clients of the British jewelry house Graff Diamonds. This is reported by the Mail on Sunday newspaper.
Hackers have already leaked 69 thousand files about 11 thousand clients. It is assumed that now they will demand a ransom in cryptocurrency, so as not to further disclose the information available.
According to the publication, after the cyberattack, confidential information about former US President Donald Trump, Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, football player David Beckham and host Oprah Winfrey appeared on the darknet.
Among the clients of the jewelry house are the stars of world politics , sports and show business. The publication notes that actors Alec Baldwin and Tom Hanks are among the star clients. “We have informed those individuals whose personal data have been affected and recommended that they take appropriate steps,” said Graff Diamonds.
Earlier, the Grief group, which is called consisting of "Russian hackers", was accused of a cyberattack on a large American organization: the US National Rifle Association, which unites supporters of the citizens' right to possess and carry weapons. It is noted that the attackers placed 13 files on their resources, most of the stolen documents relate to grants financed from the association's budget.
