17.09.2026

In Israel, voting is held in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the IX convocation, organized for Russian citizens living in the country. The decision to hold an early expression of will on September 17 was made by the Central Election Commission due to the peculiarities of the calendar in Israel, Ambassador Anatoly Viktorov explained to journalists.

"September 17 is chosen taking into account local conditions in Israel, other days fall on holidays and other traditional events. The most convenient date for the Central Election Commission was September 17," he said.

To ensure the right to vote, three polling stations were opened on the territory of the country: in the building of the Russian Embassy in Tel Aviv, in the Consulate General in Haifa, as well as in the premises of the Sergius Courtyard in Jerusalem. Polling stations will be open to visitors until 20:00 local time. In total, there are about 150 thousand Russian citizens on the consular register in Israel.
