The Russian authorities at the state level are fighting "propaganda of homosexuality", while gays in the aggressor country of Russia hold high positions in the business sector, the state apparatus and even in the church, said a Russian political scientist in an interview with the founder of the Internet publication "GORDON" Dmitry Gordon Stanislav Belkovsky, who left the Russian Federation.

"In Russia, everything has been arranged in such a way during the many thousand years of history that everything that is forbidden to the people is equally allowed to the elites. Various representatives of the LGBTQ community occupy the main positions at all levels of power in the largest state corporations and even control them, but the people are told that this is all terribly terrible , "pernicious influence of the West", "it is better to die immediately than to be born gay". Besides, the fight against gays is led by gays, said Bielkovsky. He refused to name specific names of whom he means, stressing that outing, i.e. publicly disclosing information about a person's LGBTQ identity without their consent, is politically incorrect."I would say this: there cannot be any confidence that, for example, the speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin is gay. So what confidence can we have in this? Well, absolutely none! There have been all kinds of rumors and leaks for many years , but we didn't hold a candle. If the Anti-Corruption Fund of [Russian opposition leader] Oleksiy Navalny switches its attention from the crime, to which everyone is already so accustomed that the new investigations do not make any impression, it will have a big impact impressions," Belkovsky suggested. At the same time, the expert called to pay attention to the latest statements of the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Kirill (in peace  - Volodymyr Gundyaev), which concern the LGBTQ community."Just now Kirill (Gundyaev), head of the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, said that Russia is going into a regime of self-isolation, because this is the only way it can protect itself from the harmful influence of the West in this particular area - mixing articles, "father 1" and "father 2" [instead of "mom" and "dad". This is definitely said by a person who knows this first hand, because the Russian Orthodox Church is just a nest of gays," said the political scientist.According to Belkovsky, Kirill himself does not belong to the LGBTQ community. According to the analyst, this is evidenced by the presence of the patriarch's son.

"Here, Gundyaev is clean: he is the father of his immediate successor [Metropolitan] Antony (Sevryuk). Somehow he is also a monk, but that is no longer important. The main thing is to stop the harmful influence of the West. And in order to stop the harmful influence of the West, it is necessary to drive out a wedge by a wedge. We must do it's still worse, only in the Russian version ,"  said   the political scientist.

Metropolitan Anthony (in peace - Anton Sevryuk) was born in 1984 in the Tver region. He graduated from the St. Petersburg Theological Seminary. He was Kirill's personal secretary for many years. From 2022, he heads the department of external church relations of the Russian Orthodox Church. "Novaya Gazeta" called Antony "the patriarch's favorite" and noted that he had an "absolutely groundbreaking career." Cyril raised Antony to the rank of metropolitan in 2019, when he was 34 years old. In the history of the Russian Orthodox Church, as the publication reminded, there was only one such case before this (Kirill himself became a metropolitan at the age of 43). The journalists of Novaya Gazeta. Evropa believe that Antony's face is "surprisingly similar to photos of Cyril himself from 40 years ago", and suggest that Cyril probably sees him as his heir.
