The Archbishop of Canterbury Compares Climate Change to Increased Nazi Influence

Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby apologized on November 1 after he said that world leaders who fail to respond to climate change could make a bigger mistake than their predecessors who ignored warnings about Nazi influence growing, The Jerusalem Post reported.
Welby, the spiritual leader of the worldwide Anglican community of about 85 million Christians, speaking at the start of the climate change summit in Scotland, said he regretted the insult to Jews by his comments. “I apologize unreservedly for the words I used when I tried to highlight the gravity of the situation we faced at COP26 (United Nations Annual Climate Change Conference),” Welby tweeted. "Comparisons should never be made with the atrocities committed by the Nazis."
The UN summit, critical to preventing the most catastrophic impacts of climate change, opened on November 1, and world leaders, environmental experts and activists have called for decisive action to stop global warming. Welby previously told the BBC that world leaders would be "damned" if they don't reach an agreement on climate change.
"People will talk about them much more harshly than we talk about ... about politicians who ignored what was happening in Nazi Germany, because it will kill people all over the world," he stressed. “This will make it possible to commit genocide on an infinitely large scale. I am not sure that there is a degree of genocide, but there is a scale of genocide, and it will be an indirect genocide, through negligence and recklessness. "
One would think that the Jews were the only people hurt by WW2 reading this.
