Pinchas Goldschmidt resigned as Moscow rabbi

Pinkhas Goldschmidt resigned as Chief Rabbi of Moscow as his contract expired, Olga Yessaulova, press secretary of the Moscow Jewish Religious Community (MERO), reportsRBC.
"Contract completed. There is no question of successors, perhaps not at all. Today there is an acting. There is no replacement today,” said a spokeswoman for the MERO.
In his farewell address, Goldschmidt noted that it was a great honor for him to serve in the Moscow Choral Synagogue. “I wish you all the best, stay in touch and will provide assistance and support to each of you,” he said.
