PGNiG confirms Putin turned off gas to Poland

PGNiG has confirmed media reports regarding the suspension of Russian gas supplies to Poland. The company said it had received a letter from Gazprom announcing a complete stoppage of deliveries from tomorrow. Most European countries, including Poland, did not agree to Putin's condition of paying in rubles for Russian gas. The Kremlin threatened to stop gas supplies to these countries in response. Now Gazprom is carrying out this threat against Poland.

PGNiG and GAZ-SYSTEM inform that currently all deliveries to customers are carried out in accordance with their needs. The companies monitor the situation and are prepared for various scenarios "
- PGNiG informed.
- “Gaz-System and PGNiG remain in constant contact and monitor the situation related to the cessation of supplies by Gazprom on an ongoing basis. Currently, the transmission infrastructure managed by Gaz-System is functioning smoothly. The national transmission system is supplied on an ongoing basis by means of other inputs to the gas system, underground gas storage facilities are injected, and fuel is transmitted to customers in accordance with the current demand "

It was indicated that PGNiG was ready to obtain gas from various directions.
