From the TV screens, those same TVs where even the name Navalny could not be pronounced before, we heard so many lies that it was hard to imagine. Hours, literally, hours of the federal broadcast were filled with conspiracy theories that Putin's palace does not exist, that it was painted, faked, that it was planted. That all this gold and crazy luxury - these home theaters, aquadiscos and even a personal strip club - is a figment of our sick imagination. This is Navalny's sabotage against Putin, no, even sabotage against Russia. And why is our entire investigation fiction? Well, simply because it can't be.
Today we will dot the i's. We will dispel any doubts about whether the palace exists or not. What it looks like, inside and out. What is there and what was there. We'll show you hundreds of real photos taken inside the palace and tell you even more about how Putin really lives. And that, on his orders, Russian propagandists tried so carefully to hide and justify.
Each video of Navalny ends with the phrase "they tell the truth here." And now we will prove it to you.
There is something surprisingly pleasant in this moment. How many times have we heard - it's all a cartoon, computer graphics, you came up with this golden furniture, you came up with all these monograms, stucco, frescoes. Navalny's team deceived everyone, this is their sick imagination.
And Kiselev told his most compelling argument that Putin is modest, the most modest person on earth, he has nothing but a pair of shirts . Why does he need a palace? He's just not like that.
We have already carefully looked at these five thousand beautiful photos that were sent to us from the construction site. Surprise, Putin is much worse than even we imagined. If it seemed to you that in the film we went too far with the interiors, exaggerated and embellished, you were very mistaken. Life, as it happens, exceeded any of our expectations.
We'll show you real shots of most of the rooms in Putin's famous palace. We will consider them together, discuss, analyze in detail. But first, we just need a couple of minutes to brush up on what we're actually looking at.
Last year, we managed to get the floor plans of the palace ( 1st , 2nd , 3rd floors) from one of the contractors at Putin's construction site. This is how these plans looked - you must admit, although impressive, the scale is completely incomprehensible. These are rather drawings - looking at them just like that, nothing is clear at all.
But in fact, a lot of detailed information is stored in the files themselves - there are different layers - the floor, the materials, the pattern on it.
The same goes for the ceilings - it is clear where the stained-glass window is, where the stucco is, where the carved panels are.
There is an amazingly detailed register of furniture, each item with a name and article number.
We then ordered catalogs of these brands (they are too exclusive, one-piece, they are not sold on the Internet) and found out how all these fancy royal ottomans look in real life. We put all this information together and made a 3D rendering. The way Putin's palace should look according to the project. Some parts are right with photographic accuracy (literally a couple of pictures leaked from the palace 10 years ago).
And some had to think. Well, it is written, conditionally, “a wooden panel on the wall”, and this is all the information that is. In such cases, we were guided by the general style, colors and our idea of beauty. More precisely, about what a Chekist who is crazy about power can consider wonderful.
And how shockingly accurate we were on some points. And how wrong they were in others. We experience strange emotions, something between the desire to pour a wagon of ashes on our heads - well, because we seem to have not improved much a year ago - but on the other hand ... But who could know, who could guess? The most imaginative person in the world would not have had the imagination to do so.
This part of our tour of the inner world of Vladimir Putin will be organized as follows. We look at our 3D visualization, and then photos taken in exactly the same places. And we compare. Honestly, objectively, we compare where we were right and where we were not.
Let's start with the simple and obvious. The exterior of the building. Courtyard, fountain, balconies and galleries.

And now let's move to a place that Putin himself honored with his attention.
Here's some constructive criticism. This is our fault. We greatly underestimated the pool - so Vladimir Vladimirovich did not recognize him. We have some kind of school pool on the graph compared to what it actually is.
First, our visualization lacks naked women sticking out of the wall. There are a lot of them.
We could not imagine these huge medallions either. The stucco was not made.
Instead of a bas-relief with Poseidon, we drew some kind of stupid curlicue.
Guilty. In general, Putin would not wet his leg in such a pool. Although in general, you will agree, we conveyed the mood.
Unlike the next place. Here, well, we don't know what we can do. Apologize? Rip your hair out? Well, that is, it is both embarrassing and quite funny at the same time. Because, honestly, it was impossible to imagine. We presented this room as light, white, with gold trim and burgundy fabrics. Well, about what a good classical theater would look like. If someone had the idea to build it at home.
And it's all wood. Everything! Everything that comes into view is made, carved from wood. Walls, ceilings, balconies - all in wood with gilding.
We showed you the imperial boxes, three in two tiers. Here they are in actual pictures. The same size and shape, but all sheathed in dark wood.

The theater is dealt with. They apologized. A bedroom, a reading room, a swimming pool - we have already visited many places, seen and considered a lot of things. But there is one room in this house that occupies a separate, special place in our hearts. Strip club. Or hookah, as it is called according to the official plans.
We also have photos of this place. When we saw these pictures, we experienced the feeling that a scientist probably feels when he proves a theorem. Or someone who tells for decades that he saw Bigfoot, no one believed him, and then he catches this Bigfoot and leads by the hand.
A small lyrical digression. When we found this place on the plan of the house, we realized that this is it - a room without windows, there is a stage, round sofas, there is some kind of mark on the stage that looks like a pole. That it couldn't be anything other than homemade, excuse me, a streaker, we still couldn't believe it ourselves.
We remember very well how for several hours, on long, long calls, we discussed with 3D designers, architects, what could be a mistake? What, maybe we misunderstood something? What, maybe it's not a pole? And not a scene? And if the scene, then for something else? We will be ridiculed if we say that the President of the Russian Federation has a striptease room at home.
And until the last moment, what's there - even after the release of the film - we thought: well, if somewhere we made a mistake, then here. And it was such an unpleasant itchy feeling that, perhaps, we blamed the person in vain. Maybe there is nothing there.
But when we saw the photographs of this place, there was no trace of these feelings. Striptease hall, hookah, call it what you want, exists. And she looks much worse than we could imagine.
We tried very hard to make this place as tasteless and gaudy as possible. Our quality criterion was whether a gypsy baron would like such a room. But what Navalny called in the video the most expensive hookah in Makhachkala turned out to be the cheapest.
Let's take a freeze frame and watch.
This is the place in real life.
The stage is littered with pillows. Sofas, TVs, poles. And ... behind him, on the wall. Well, we don't even know how to describe it. Portal? Temple tower silhouette? This is exactly the right place, there is no room for error at all - everything from the location of the doorway to the screens and furniture is arranged exactly according to the plan. But we could not imagine these temples of Aladdin. We thought about oriental style, a thousand and one nights and so on, but so much?
And if it seems to you that this portal-tower is such a special decoration for the stage (well, you never know, maybe the oriental style is close to the dancer), then you are greatly mistaken. These things are everywhere.
Here is the next wall, there are two such temples on it. Despite the fact that the photo was taken earlier, the repair has not yet been completed, the pole is already in place. Same thing on the wall on the left.
We need to take a closer look at another image that shows the underside of this structure. We don't know what's in the minds of these people. And we don't want to know. But even in the home strip club, they placed golden eagles.
The state emblem, apparently, so that visitors to this private institution do not forget which country they captured and robbed.
Let's move on to the next, no less exciting part of our tour. To places that we saw on the floor plans, but were not shown on the famous virtual tour. Otherwise, our film would have been three or four hours. That does not make these rooms less interesting. Let's figure out what else is in the palace.
Let's take a quick look at the second most important bedroom. It is located in the opposite wing from the Putin one and is arranged in the same way - its own living room.
Then the bedroom itself.
And already behind the bedroom is a secret rest room.
It also offers a beautiful view of the sea, so obviously someone important stayed here. Or important.

Corridor. Expensive, rich, wooden, eagles everywhere. Let's find out.
Well, the main room. 131 m2. This is an office. And not as filthy and official as in the Kremlin, but just an OFFICE. Royal. There is more wood here. T-shaped table. We also sawhim in old photographs with a worker.
The office has a marble fireplace. Next to it are huge bookcases where you can put your articles about Ukraine. Under each window sill we observe a golden eagle.
I wonder where they took them at all? They came to the forging salon and they were like this: can we have huge golden eagles on golden radiator grilles? Well, have you seen an eagle on a coin? Us exactly the same, please. Five hundred pieces. Thank you.
Well, let's look at the furniture. The owner, well, or the designer, was obviously bitten by Louis XIV. This is probably the most elaborate set of furniture in the entire palace.
But Putin likes it. Corresponds to the taste of a graduate of the Red Banner Institute of the KGB and a native of the St. Petersburg gateway. He saw this in the Hermitage, which means that he also needs this at home.
What is there to hide, of course, it is incredibly pleasant for us to look at all these decorations and interior splendor a year later in real photographs, and not on drawings and plans. I would like to hang huge banners "and we told you." And many did not believe.
And this inevitably brings us to the next topic. propagandists. Now, a year later, it is clear that with his film Navalny caused such a political crisis that it was simply impossible to solve it by the old methods (that is, by ignoring it). We had to come up with something new.
A few weeks after the release of the investigation about the palace, when the view count was already approaching 100 million, the Kremlin decided that it was no longer possible to remain silent.
And then two teams of pro-Kremlin propagandists at once - Kiselyov's Vesti Nedeli and the Internet publication Mash - were visited by Huge Journalistic Luck. The object, which for 15 years was the most secret construction site in Russia, suddenly opened its doors for them, the builders conducted a tour of several rooms for everyone. All for one thing - to show that there is nothing there. There is a construction site. Everything is in the early stages of construction.
But there is a problem with the history of propagandists. We ourselves, when we showed you the palace from the air, noticed all this and told - there is a huge construction site, everything is in the forests, building materials, equipment, and so on. We even found out why. The palace is literally being rebuilt anew due to a mold problem that has covered everything inside.
That is, all the marble and decoration that we saw in the photographs was torn off. The furniture was removed to storage or destroyed. The palace is being renovated, we told you. And then the propagandists showed the same thing.
But for the sake of curiosity, let's show you exactly how the places where Putin's corrupt lackeys (who for some reason call themselves journalists) took us looked like before they were allowed to go there.
In the very first shots inside the palace, Vesti Nedeli shows us a corridor made of bare concrete, which should convince the viewer that there has never been any marble, eagles, monograms and furniture worth millions of rubles here.
But here's the problem. We have photographs of this corridor taken before it was completely stripped. Here is a photo that was taken literally in the same place where the operator Vesti stands.
Let's return to the plot of "News of the Week". On the right along the corridor we see a recess in the wall, and opposite it is the place where the door should be.
A little further than the door is a column.
Here in the room on the left you can see a place for a door, and further, behind it, another door is visible.
A couple of frames ahead - and a huge window is already visible in the room. Ahead along the corridor, 2 columns opposite each other leave no doubt - to our left is the music room.
Great, because we have a lot of photos of the musical living room, which is now a concrete box. Once upon a time, it was completely different - completed, shining and ready to receive Vladimir Putin at her piano. This is the very window of the musical living room that we just saw, the door is also visible.
The column is hidden under the layers of trim. But the most outstanding thing in this room was the ceiling. You can see it in this photo, but it's even better in this photo from a different angle. On the left is just the door through which the cameraman Dmitry Kiselev looks. Arched structures are installed under the ceiling, and it is covered in gold and painted with frescoes. The gentleman in flip-flops walking around the hall is clearly delighted with the marble fireplace, numerous eagles and the beauty surrounding it.
Further, the correspondent of Vesti Nedelya wants to show us that other rooms of the palace are completely empty, and shows us the passage along the corridor. They even speed up the video to impress people with endless gray and concrete emptiness.
But they did it in vain, because it was in this passage through the corridors that we found new evidence of the former wealth of this palace. We look closely and compare with the plans. The operator's path starts on the basement floor, the first door on the right (1) is a cosmetology room, the second (2) is a hairdresser's.
Then we get into a large room called the cocktail lounge. Here it is, by the way, in our photographs.
We move further past the entrance to the cinema (4) and go through the tasting room (5). Now it is littered with building materials. And right after that, we'll stop.
This room is even more littered, but traces of old repairs have been preserved in it. According to the plan, we are in the wine cellar.
In fact, this, of course, is not a cellar, but simply a wine storage room, inside of which there is a huge glass refrigerator room. We have photos of this building, let's compare it with what Putin's propagandists show us. Here you can see the best, and the angle is very similar. Two windows on the right are in place, there is not a trace left of the glass refrigerator in the center of the room, but on the walls the workers cheated. While dismantling the wine room, they did not remove the brown paint around the windows, it was completely preserved and perfectly matches our photo. And the paint under the wooden wine cabinets has not been removed - here it is, white.
We have been talking for so long about the main house, directly about the palace, that we almost forgot that, in fact, Putin's palace is a whole estate of almost 8,000 hectares. There are still a bunch of different buildings - a church:
An underground hockey rink, by the way, it has just been officially registered and named "Sports Building No. 1". I mean, we were right.
Well, the greenhouse, we also showed it to you:
Friends. Sorry, we're ashamed, but this is not a greenhouse. We, people of the dark and ignorant, were misled by the plants on the roof of this building. We thought it was an exotic garden. But after the investigation, we were sent a lot of additional information, which shed light on what it really is. This is a restaurant.
More precisely, not even a restaurant, but a complex of several restaurants to suit your mood. Like a food court in a mall, only private. 12 people, maybe 20 people can have dinner here at the same time. Well, we underestimated the area, calling this building 2500 meters high. He only has a basement occupies 2167 square meters. And there is also a first floor of the same area (2100.3) and a 1,500-meter second floor (1456.3). Its total area is 5700 (5723) square meters.
The space under the canopy is called "beer garden terrace" on the building plan. Vladimir Putin loves beer, it's no secret, he talked about it many times .
But there are many beer lovers in the world, but most likely only Vladimir Putin thought of building a beer restaurant in his country house.
Already inside the building, if you go through this terrace, we see a bar for 7 people, a recreation area. dining room for 12 people and even a games room. What exactly Putin plays there after drinking beer is unknown. Perhaps there is table football and darts, or maybe even a branch of the casino from the main house.
Here Putin drank beer, played games, what else can you want? Maybe watch a movie? Easy! After all, here, nearby, there is also its own cinema hall for 6 people. It is located across the wall from the bar. Very convenient, you can run for a beer without looking up from your favorite movie about poor but brave Soviet intelligence officers.
Here, on the ground floor, there are numerous rooms for employees of Putin's mega-restaurant. Wardrobes for waiters and staff, showers, container storage (apparently empty), pre-cooking shop, hot shop, dishwashing room, there are even separate rooms for dishes and two rooms for storing alcoholic beverages.
Not bad, but you will say that we promised you some exotic, incredibly luxurious and unusual restaurants, but showed you some kind of pub? That's right, now we will show you real luxury. To do this, you need to go up to the second floor of the restaurant complex.
We look at the plan, the first thing we see is a 50-meter karaoke hookah room.
We are not surprised by such a room - we saw it in the palace. There is also a scene in this new hookah bar. Too bad you can't see if it has a pole. A universal room - and a hookah, and a stage, and karaoke. We can very vividly imagine Putin standing in the smoke, who smoked a double apple hookah, went on stage and performs the favorite song of the Lyube group. Nearby are two rooms - an artistic and a dressing room. In them, invited artists and actresses are preparing to please our leader. There is also a separate room - a hookah ignition zone. It, of course, should be kindled by a special high-ranking hookah man of the federal security service. Because the safety of the President is above all.
Let's catch our breath after the hookah bar and move on. Here is a 140-meter billiard-cigar room and a mysterious exposition area. We do not know what kind of exhibits there are, maybe Olympic medals, or maybe amphoras raised from the bottom of the sea. There is another bar nearby - this time for 8 people.
And then something more interesting begins. Italian restaurant area with a total area of almost 300 square meters. We have already noticed that Putin loves Italy, his entire palace was designed by the Italian architect Lanfranco Cirillo and is entirely furnished with Italian furniture. This restaurant consists of a seating area for 6 people, a dining room for 20 people, a concert area and a 30-meter wine cellar.
Putin loves wine and produces it at his factories in the neighboring villages of Divnomorskoye and Krinitsa. This, of course, is yet another example of Putin's hypocrisy. He forbade Russians to buy Italian products - in Russia you can not find Italian cheeses and meat products, and those products that are still found are choked by bulldozers. But sanctions are for ordinary people, and what does Putin care about them? He can afford to build an Italian restaurant with Italian products in his country house.
We are moving to a Pan-Asian restaurant. It is even larger than the Italian one - 244 meters of space and a private terrace of 340 square meters. The restaurant consists of a seating area for 8 people, a dining room for 12 people and several very exotic areas. There is a tea ceremony area for 4 people. Here, Putin and his KGB friends put on special kimonos, sit on the floor, bow to each other and drink tea. Nearby is a Chinese dining area. That is, a special place designed for the consumption of Chinese food. And for some reason we are sure that they do not consume half-baked here.
To the right is a place whose name you, we are sure, have not even heard. Well, at least without the help of Google, we would never have guessed what it was. We are talking about the teppanyaki zone and the teppanyaki master zone. Teppanyaki is a style of cooking in which a chef (apparently a Teppanyaki officer from the FSO) cooks food in a wide iron pan next to the diners, after which the hot dish immediately falls into the plates.
The office space on this floor is also very interesting. There is a teppanyaki shop, a liquor storage room - the third one in this building, a security room, a room for serving a separate screen, which is installed in an Italian restaurant, and a room called the adjutant room. At the mention of the word adjutant, some images of people in uniforms that surround a major military leader or emperor pop up in my head, and we are absolutely right. Adjutants Putin calls his assistants . In this restaurant complex, they have a separate room with their own bathroom.
After Putin sings karaoke, smokes a hookah, drinks beer and enjoys the teppanyaki ceremony, he can go up to the roof of this building and walk among the plants along the artificial reservoir. At first we didn’t even understand that it was water, we thought it was just the color of the roof, and then, when we received the plans for the building, we looked at the roof and saw ripples on it.
If you and I were on a real excursion, then at this place we would be counted over our heads and driven to the bus. All the guys, we sit down, the tour is over, see if your neighbor is there, and let's go. But we still have one more important part.
You have not forgotten that Putin's brilliant plan is that the palace is actually not his, but Rotenberg's. And this is not a palace, but an apart-hotel, a hotel. A year has passed. A year, obviously, is more than enough for our judoka friends Vladimir Vladimirovich and Arkady Romanovich to put in order the entire, so to speak, legal part. Let's see what has changed. And almost nothing has changed.

And a winery under construction in another village - Krinitsa. Changing the ownership of any of these is a complex process that cannot be done unnoticed.
There is nothing. I mean, literally nothing. Neither in January, when we published the investigation and when Rotenberg said that the palace belongs to him, nor in the following February, nor in March did anything happen. The owners of houses and plots did not change. The owners of the firms that own these facilities have not changed. But he builds himself a striptease hall, an aqua disco and a personal beer garden. To stop the hatred that is impossible not to feel towards the shiny United Russia members who are bursting with stolen money.
And the palace investigation is why Putin will never let Navalny out. And he will increase his terms, invent new cases, mock him in prison and create unbearable conditions. Because it's personal. The palace is his most important and favorite brainchild, which Navalny ruined.
He fancies himself the successor of great Russia. Monarch. Aristocrat. He wants to live in a palace no worse than the Winter one. He sets up double-headed eagles everywhere to emphasize that he is the heir to the Russian tsars. It just turns out to be a parody. Not even a bad copy - but just a meaningless, hopeless long-term construction with naked women sticking out of the walls and chairs in front of the toilet.
Putin wants to remain in history. To be remembered as an outstanding political leader who outplayed everyone. But he will be remembered for this. A moldy Gelendzhik palace with a strip club.
And also cowardice. Panic fear of your opponent. Unwillingness to engage in an open normal political struggle.
He will be remembered for the fact that instead of defeating Navalny in the elections, he came up with the idea of smearing his underpants with Novichok so that Navalny would die painfully. So that instead of answering questions, direct, understandable questions, he lies in the eyes of the entire population, and he imprisons those who catch him in this lie. This is Putin's real legacy.
