According to the Lubavitcher Rebbe King Moshiach, the peak of True and Complete Liberation falls on the period of history that we are witnessing. But are there signs of the world moving towards Total Liberation? On the one hand, we, the Hasidim of the Rebbe, wholeheartedly believe in his words, but at the same time, we must also know that, according to the teachings of Chabad, faith is not only blind faith, but also the need for understanding by the human mind.Let's start with a story that will help you better understand what is happening in the world in the light of progress towards full Liberation.

Meeting of two presidents in New York

In 1992, the President of America gave a fiery speech. A special speech that made a huge impression on everyone, and, most importantly, was honored with a mention by the Rebbe in a conversation with the Hasidim a few days after this event. The President delivered his speech on Wednesday, January 29, 1992, before the Saturday of the weekly Torah portion of Mishpatim, and in his words he touched on the topic of arms reduction. He suggested that the money generated from this reduction be used to provide food and improve the prosperity of the nation.

Two days later, an amazing event took place, which forever remained on the pages of history and influenced the political situation around the world. It happened in New York, the city of the head of the generation of the Rebbe King Moshiach. The heads of many states gathered there, but this was not the main thing ... The surprise of the evening was the presence of two presidents representing two world powers, who had previously fought with each other, and now sitting side by side, in the city of King Moshiach: the President of the Russian Federation and the President of the United States of America.

The decision of the high-level meeting left an indelible impression: the reduction in the production of weapons, the cessation of world wars, mutual cooperation, the use of the proceeds from this for the benefit of mankind throughout the world! This event, no doubt, points to one of the signs of the coming Liberation: "And they will beat swords into plowshares."

Note that this is not a literary presentation of any article, but directly an excerpt from the Rebbe's conversation with the Hasidim.

According to Washington ProFile: January 31 - February 1, 1992. Meeting of President George W. Bush and Boris Yeltsin in New York. The first meeting of the heads of Russia and the United States. The presidents discussed the problems of the collapse of the USSR, agreed to continue the process of reducing strategic nuclear weapons, cooperate in the field of arms trade, non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), etc. A joint declaration was signed, which states that Russia and the United States do not consider each other potential adversaries.

Torah and mind

How could this special solution come about? At first glance, you might think, why not? Sound logic obliges everyone to live in peace and brotherhood without wars. But if you seriously think about it, you will find that for some reason this sound logic has been inactive for so many generations until today ... and what suddenly happened? What prompted the peoples of the world to change their habitual path?

We find the answer to this question in the same conversation of the Rebbe: “The human mind is too small to understand the laws of the Torah. The fact that we can understand them today is possible thanks to the gift of the Torah, because through the gift of the Torah, a connection was established between the material world and Divinity, and our lower world turned into a vessel for Divinity (holiness), and this automatically affects our mind. . Since the time of the giving of the Torah, the mind has been able to think according to its laws. For example, take the commandment: "Do not steal." Today, a person himself perfectly understands why it is impossible to steal, and this happens only because the Torah entered our world.

At the same time, we must fulfill the commandments, even if we understand why they must be fulfilled, because the Almighty commanded us so, and not because we understand ... Also, the seven commandments for the descendants of Noah - they are obliged to fulfill because God wants it that way.

The Sixth Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak, decreed at one time that all aspects of the work were completed, and we are ready to meet the righteous Moshiach. In 1991, the rabbis signed a rabbinic court ruling that the Rebbe was the Moshiach of our generation and that the time for Liberation had come. The ruling of the Torah has entered our world to such an extent that even the peoples of the world are aware of the need to "beat swords into plowshares." You can read about further steps in this direction in the article " Chronicle of Nuclear Arms Reductions (1991-2006) ".

Avoid conflict

The Rebbe King Moshiach asks: “Why, after what we have learned, after all the signs of the coming of Liberation, are we still in exile, although we should have gathered together with all the Jews from all over the world for a long time in Jerusalem, the Holy City and in the Third Temple ? Why was the order not given to build the Temple?”

Therefore, the Rebbe asks to add in all aspects that really bring Liberation closer. This week we will do it thanks to the name of the weekly chapter - "Mishpatim". Judgment takes place between two people who do not get along with each other. We will try to avoid this, to live with friends in peace, love and harmony, even when it is difficult, in order to achieve Liberation.

Our weekly chapter also speaks of good deeds, helping each other, and so let's add in material assistance to people, as it is said: "Great is the tzedaka that brings Liberation closer." And we will be rewarded with revealing the Rebbe of King Moshiach instantly and right now!
