Brazilian pastor jailed for 18 years for anti-Semitism

Rio de Janeiro priest Tofrani de Chora Lawrence, who regularly spoke out against Jews and broadcast an anti-Semitic stance during his sermons, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for calling for a repeat of the Holocaust, writes Israel Hayom.
“This is a historic victory in the fight against anti-Semitism. 18 years is the most severe sentence in the history of Brazilian law for this type of crime. This should set a precedent,” said defense lawyer Ricardo Sidi.
It was documented that the pastor repeatedly spoke out harshly against the Jews and called out to heaven to kill them all, specifying that "what happened during the Second World War must happen again."
The police raided the church of the anti-Semitic pastor and detained him back in February 2021. It should be noted that for the first time Tofrani de Hora Lawrence was convicted of religious intolerance back in 2009.
