In the Magadan region, a 56-year-old man was suspected of rehabilitating Nazism. This was reported to Lente.ru in the regional department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (TFR).
According to the agency, on February 6, the person involved published in the messenger group an entry that denies the Holocaust, established by the verdict of the International Military Tribunal for the trial and punishment of the main war criminals of the European Axis countries.
On the fact of the incident, a case was opened under paragraph 2 of Article 354.1 (“Rehabilitation of Nazism using information and telecommunication networks, including the Internet”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Now he faces up to five years in prison.
Earlier it was reported that in the Orenburg region, a 61-year-old resident of the city of Abdulino is accused of rehabilitating Nazism. The woman posted a comment on the social network in which she approved of the violent actions of war criminals in Nazi Germany.
