FEOR President and Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar took part in the Victory Day Parade (commemorates Soviet defeat of the Nazis) May 9, 2021.

President of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia, Rabbi Alexander Boroda, Chief Rabbi of Russia Berl Lazar, together with other heads of traditional confessions of Russia, took part in the Victory Day Parade.

Rabbi Alexander Boroda noted the grandeur of the Victory Parade. The FEOR President stressed that the solemn demonstration of troops, military equipment, first of all, confirms confidence in a peaceful life in the future. It indicates not so much about military power, but about the possibility of resisting any threat and aggression.

“Victory Day is an undeniably great holiday! For every person on earth, this Victory meant the triumph of good. Victory Day saved the Jewish people from the complete destruction planned by Hitler, and we will forever remain grateful to the warrior-liberator of the Red Army.

“It was the courage and strength of the Red Army soldiers who were able to stop this terrifying death machine, which seemed to be omnipotent and invincible. The Great Patriotic War is not only a war for freedom, for defending one’s territory, for the life and salvation of one’s loved ones, but it is also an ideological war, it is a spiritual opposition to misanthropy, opposition to the criminal and immoral principles of fascism and nationalism. Therefore, the significance of Victory Day is inexorable for all mankind, for all countries! And if extremist sentiments reappear, chauvinist ideas are heard in the international space, then the true history of the Victory is updated with even greater force,” commented Rabbi Boroda.

Yours faithfully

  1. Everyone must remember that Russia is still red.
Vladimir Putin reinstated the Soviet-era red star as the Russian military’s official emblem–in the latest reincarnation of Communist symbols that has sparked fears of a return to the repressive past… On Putin’s initiative, the Russian parliament earlier resurrected the music of the old Soviet anthem, albeit with a new words, and brought back the Soviet-era red banner as the military’s flag. Portraits of Lenin and Stalin were openly paraded through Russian streets to mark Defender of the Fatherland Day.

Russian main holiday and historical event is “victory” over Germany in second World War and “liberation” of Europe. I suppose, I don’t have to remind everyone about mass rape and murder of millions of white people by red commisars after that “liberation”. The heroic legacy of “the country that defeated fascism” is crucial to the Russian identity that Putin is attempting to form with the help of state-controlled media and historians. The Soviet Union’s victory in the World War II, dubbed “The Great Patriotic War,” is an everyday reason for glorifying the Russia of today as an “invincible nation.” Holding the commemorative ceremonies for the end of WWII not in Moscow would be a crucial blow to the Russia’s present historiographical myth.

But I have to remind everyone that Russia is responsible for creation of holocaust myth, because all Nazi “death” camps were in Soviet occupation zone. It was Russian prosecutor who stated during Nuremnberg trial that they have evidence about mass murder of 4 million people, in Auschwiz, millions of people in other “death camps” and at least 2 millions of Jews by SS Sonderkommandos on the territory of USSR. No credible evidence were given to the tribunal, but no one really care about that, and holocaust myth was created.

  2. ⁣In the town of Demmin in Mecklenburg, German troops destroyed the bridge over
the river Peene to slow down the advance of the Red Army. Nevertheless, the town
was handed over to the Soviets without much of resistance and soon after around
800 of its citizens committed suicide by drowning in the Peene or by taking
poison in fear of rape or murder by the Soviet troops. In a house in
another town, children were found sitting around a dinner table, plates of
potato pancakes in front of them. All were dead, their tongues nailed to the
table. Soviet officers reported back to Moscow that mass poisoning from captured
alcohol, including dangerous chemicals found in laboratories, is damaging the
fighting capacity of the Soviet Army. All too often, soldiers who had drunk too
much and were unable to perform the sex act, used the bottle to mutilate their
victims obscenely. Alexander Solzhenitsyn, an ex-captain in the Soviet Army,
recalls, “All of us knew very well that if
girls were German they could be raped and then shot. This was almost a combat
distinction”. (Details of these, and other atrocities, are
contained in the Eastern Documentation Section of the German Federal Archives in
    Berlin)The orgy of rape by
Soviet troops was far greater than at first believed. Even Russian women and
young girls, newly liberated from German concentration camps in Poland and in
Germany, were brutally violated. The thousands of Russian women taken to Germany
for forced labour also fell victims to the rapists. ‘I waited for the Red Army for days and nights. I waited for my liberation, but now our soldiers treat us far worse than the
Germans did’ said one Maria Shapoval,’They do terrible things to us’.
