Thoughts on Venezuela.
I'm all for invading Latin countries and putting brown commies in their place, but with this being a Trump operation I think we all know its going to turn out to be fake and gay.
Already it seems Trump has lost control of the situation. The opposition hasn't materialized and the government of Venezuela was never about one man, and arresting Maduro certainly does not make the US "in charge" of Venezuela. Seems to me that it could develop into a Vietnam/Iraq scenario as hinted in James Cameron's Avatar. A very dumb film, the latest installment of which I unfortunately suffered through the other night. A prolonged conflict in Venezuela will allow Trump to Pivot the US away from Ukraine and Taiwan which is likely what Putin and Xi want.
Long term: Venezuela will probably turn out something like Syria where the country maintains its general geopolitical alignment, but they trade out the incompetent dictator with someone who isn't a total Mussolini.
Its sad really because taking out Maduro could really be a good thing for us. We should get rid of the communists there, and Cuba should have been dealt with years ago. There's no reason why these Soviet outposts should have ever been permitted to exist in the western hemisphere, especially since the Berlin Wall came down. Just goes to show that Communism wasn't defeated, it just had its reset.
So I guess Maduro's number 2 was just sworn in as president, (Who's in charge of Venezuela and what happens next)
Venezuela's Vice-President Delcy Rodríguez, who was part of Maduro's inner circle, is now the interim president after being sworn in by the nation's Supreme Court.
On Saturday, she demanded Maduro's release, saying he was the "only president".
Despite Trump's claims the US would run Venezuela until "a safe and proper and judicious transition" was possible, Maduro's allies remain in charge.
and now it appears the sanctions are being lifted on Venezuela.
So it seems that the communist regime in Venezuela might be getting what it has wanted for the last 10 years and we get a fall guy.
Such theatre. Is MAGA buying this all up?

Whatever the U.S. is really doing in Venezuela, it is not without Moscow’s approval. None of this is believable. It’s a story for children.
But Trump tweeted it on Truth Social, what's there not to believe? Heard there's some Big Beautiful Bridges for sale in Greenland too, now that it's the 51st state.
