'The CPRF was the first to recognize the results of the referendums and build relations with the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics as sovereign states’: Taisayev
K.K. Taisaev, S.P. Obukhov, N.A. Ostanin and R.I. Suleymanovs work at the XI Congress of People's Deputies of the Novosibirsk Region
Deputies of the State Duma K.K. Taisaev, S.P. Obukhov, N.A. Ostanin and R.I. Suleymanov arrived in Novosibirsk to participate in the Congress of People's Deputies, as well as in the events of the patriotic festival "Pravda Day", which will be held on September 5-6.
On September 4, the Secretary of the CPRF Central Committee, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Council of the UPC-CPSU, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Kazbek Taisayev arrived in Novosibirsk.
The working day began with a visit to the Center for Heroic and Patriotic Education "Post № 1", where Kazbek Taisaev met with Novosibirsk schoolchildren carrying the Honorary Watch of Memory at the Eternal Fire. This tradition has been preserved for many years: before going to the memorial, the children undergo training, master discipline and study the history of the exploits of Siberian warriors.
The laying of flowers at the Eternal Fire at the memorial complex "Monument of Glory of Siberian Warriors" was another important point of the program. The participants honored the memory of the heroes who fell for the freedom and independence of the Motherland.
Also in the morning there was a round table with SVO fighters, their families and volunteers engaged in the collection and shipment of humanitarian goods. Kazbek Taisayev spoke about the systematic assistance that the CPRF provides to servicemen and civilians under fire. Additional support measures were discussed with the participants.
The main event of the day was the XI Congress of People's Deputies of the Novosibirsk Region, dedicated to the elections and the large-scale election campaign of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. More than 700 candidates are registered in the region - for the Legislative Assembly, the Council of Deputies of the city of Novosibirsk and local self-government bodies. Among them are 10 participants of the SVO.
The congress takes place in an intensive working rhythm: the party program is considered, the actions of candidates are coordinated, an appeal to voters and a resolution in support of Russian fighters are prepared.
In his speech, Kazbek Taisayev noted:
"For us, the war began back in 2014, when the residents of Donbass wanted only one thing - to speak Russian, keep their faith, live in peace. But all the power of the Kiev army was thrown against them. Our comrades Alexander Zakharchenko and Valery Bolotov, who headed the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics at that difficult time, were great friends of Gennady Andreevich Zyuganov, communists, members of our party. The CPRF was the first to recognize the results of the referendums and build relations with the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics as sovereign states.
I remember how in 2014 Alexander Zakharchenko came to Gennady Andreevich and said: there is flour left for a week, and then people will have nothing to eat. At that time, 6.5 million people lived in Donetsk region, 2.5 million in Luhansk region. After the referendum, they blocked everything. It was then that Gennady Andreevich together with Vladimir Ivanovich Kashin organized the first humanitarian convoy. It was based on products and aid collected by the communists of Stavropol. Ivan Andreevich Bogachev, Hero of Labor of Stavropol, then managed to unite his colleagues, and the collective farms of Stavropol gave everything that was earned to support the people of Donbass.
I am grateful to your party organization and the First Secretary of the Novosibirsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Anatoly Evgenyevich Lokt. Then we went to Donbass together to see with our own eyes what was happening there. Novosibirsk communists made a film, and they were the first to show the world the truth about the tragedy of Donbass.
Today we continue this work. On September 8, the 143rd humanitarian convoy of the party will depart - not counting the regional ones. More than 30 thousand tons of food, medicines, building materials and equipment were delivered to Donbass and to our fighters. This is a huge contribution of the whole party and its supporters.
More than 1,500 communists and Komsomol members participated in the SVO. More than 150 of them gave their lives. This morning I met with the military, and among them was Ilya - our comrade, nominated today as a candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a participant of the SVO, to whom I want to say special words of gratitude for his courage and work. He remembered his unit, dreamed of returning to the land where he fought, and saying: all the tasks of the SVO have been completed. And I'm convinced that it will be so. We will achieve all the tasks and will definitely win."
Novosibirsk communists discussed the regional program of the CPRF in the elections to the Legislative Assembly within the framework of the work of the XI Congress. It included demands for the preservation of village councils, strengthening of state regulation of prices and support for SVO participants.
At the end of the busy day, a press approach was held, at which the deputies of the State Duma summed up the results, thanked the residents and the party organization of the Novosibirsk region for their active work and emphasized that today there is no task more important than the implementation of the goals and objectives of the SVO, strengthening the country and protecting the interests of citizens.
