The event was organized by the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, headed by its chairman Leonid Ivanovich Kalashnikov. Thanks to his many years of work, as well as the active position of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the conference has become a key platform for inter-parliamentary cooperation of the Commonwealth countries.
The program of the first day of the conference began with an excursion to the National Center "Russia". The delegates were able to get acquainted with modern expositions devoted to the historical stages of the state's development, its achievements and key directions of future development. In the evening, an official dinner was held on behalf of the First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma A.D. Zhukov, which became a platform for preliminary discussion of the main topics of the conference.
The morning of December 2 began with the Ceremony of laying flowers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Kremlin wall - a tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and an emphasized confirmation of the common historical basis of all CIS countries. After that, a plenary session of the International Conference was held. The moderator was Kazbek Taisayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots. Opening the meeting, he noted:
"Dear colleagues, dear friends! We are holding our meeting in a difficult time - in the context of growing pressure on our states, attempts to revise the historical truth, and strengthening nationalist sentiments. This makes our inter-parliamentary cooperation even more significant. For six years, this format has become a working platform where we not just exchange views, but agree on positions, discuss model bills and look for common solutions. It is especially important to pay attention to health, demography and high-tech development, as well as to counter attempts to glorify fascism and distort history. This is our common responsibility to generations..."
Kazbek Taisaev conveyed warm words of greeting to the participants from the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Leonid Ivanovich Kalashnikov, who could not attend in person for health reasons.
The meeting was attended by representatives of all Duma factions and parliamentary delegations of the Commonwealth countries. The speech of the CPRF leader Gennady Andreevich Zyuganov attracted the special attention of the participants. His in-depth analysis of the current international situation, reasoned position on integration, protection of historical truth and social justice caused a wide response among the delegates. Representatives of foreign parliaments and other factions of the State Duma have repeatedly emphasized that Gennady Andreevich's speech was one of the most substantive and conceptual at the conference.
After the plenary session, the delegations moved to work in the factions. More than 30 meetings were held on the development of cooperation, coordination of positions on a number of model laws and exchange of experience. It was fundamental for the CPRF to hold meaningful meetings with all delegations, which allows the party to systematically promote initiatives aimed at strengthening integration, protecting historical memory and developing humanitarian ties.
Kazbek Taisayev held a series of bilateral negotiations with parliamentary delegations of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova and Belarus. The prospects for cooperation, existing challenges, issues of combating fascism were discussed - a direction to which the CPRF traditionally pays special attention. At each meeting, Kazbek Taisayev conveyed greetings from the CPRF Leader Gennady Andreevich Zyuganov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, Academician Vladimir Ivanovich Kashin and Chairman of the CIS Affairs Committee Leonid Ivanovich Kalashnikov, emphasizing the consistent position of the CPRF as a party standing at the forefront of inter-parliamentary cooperation and protection of common historical values.
In the afternoon, the delegates visited the State Public Health Institution "NPCC DiT DZM", where they got acquainted with the work of one of the leading medical centers of the capital. Modern approaches to health preservation, new technologies of diagnosis and treatment were discussed here, which became an important part of the preparation of the CIS countries for the Year of Health Protection.
The day ended with an official lunch on behalf of the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin, where the participants were able to continue discussing topical issues in an informal setting.
The work of the conference continued on December 3 with a series of inter-factional meetings. The delegations, concluding the visit, noted the high level of organization, the substantive program and the significant contribution of the CPRF and its leaders to the strengthening of inter-party and inter-parliamentary relations of the CIS countries.
