Russian citizens' 'Stop Illegals' movement calls for ban on migrant taxi drivers after increase in accidents and crime

In Moscow, it is necessary to introduce a restriction on the work of migrants in taxis, the coordinator of the “Stop Illegals” movement, adviser to the head of the taxi drivers’ union, Evgeniy Grek, is convinced.
In a conversation with NSN, he explained his opinion by the worsening situation with accidents and crime in the industry.
With the introduction of restrictions on working in taxis for migrants, the market will become more transparent, the expert believes. This will also affect safety, as accidents and crime from migrants are increasing, he said. Moreover, according to the expert, the need for such a ban has long been felt in Moscow and the Moscow region , since the number of incidents here is increasing.
“The sooner such standards are adopted, the more lives we will save,” he is convinced. “The number of accidents is already beyond reason, as well as conflicts and attacks.”
Without foreign labor, transport will not work; this is only intimidation of unscrupulous employers who prefer cheap labor, the expert believes. However, he admitted that if such a ban is introduced, new drivers will have to be trained.
Let us remind you that a ban on working in a taxi was introduced in the Chelyabinsk region starting next year . In the region, foreign citizens will not be allowed to regularly transport passengers by bus in urban, suburban and intercity traffic.
