Russia erects new statue of Lenin in Belgorod
Belgorod: "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin is back!"
On August 29, communists and Komsomol members of Belgorod gathered in the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after V.I. Lenin to lay flowers at the newly erected monument to Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, who returned to his historical place five years later.
"This day is of great importance for everyone who remembers and honors our history," said Valery Shevlyakov, First Secretary of the Committee of the BRO of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. - Return of the monument to V.I. Lenin is not just the restoration of the monument, it is an act of restoring historical memory and justice. For us, Lenin was and remains a symbol of the struggle for social equality and justice. We are grateful to everyone involved in this important event."
The monument, which was dismantled earlier, has been completely updated. Instead of the old architectural concrete sculpture, a new one, cast in bronze, is now installed. The monument is installed on a capital reinforced concrete pedestal lined with granite.
The return of the monument to the central park symbolizes the preservation of the memory of a key figure in the history of our country.
