"Then in the 12th century Jewry attempted to gain control of the Papacy with help of the Jewish cardinal Pierleoni, and the sect of the Albigensians also prepared in secret the greatest revolution of the time. Through this Christianity was to be destroyed, and simultaneously in secret other sects were founded, which wished to master all Europe, abolish the existing order and destroy Holy Church. “Rotary was born on February 23, 1905 in Chicago (Illinois, USA). The founders were 4: Gustav Loehr, mining engineer, S. Schiele, coal merchant, H. Shorey, tailor and Paul Percival Harrys, lawyer [1] and freemason.
It must be said that if the doctrine and public practice of Rotary is very similar to the Masonic one, it was not – however – rich «in those connotations of secrecy and esotericism, in those initiatory rituals that characterised Freemasonry» [13]. In short, Rotary appears as a public Freemasonry and as the antechamber of the esoteric and secret one, where the Freemasons can easily fish out people who have entered through naivety, to make them "three-dotted brothers"
“Religious indifferentism”, as the Jesuit Pietro Pirri defined it, constitutes one of the principal charges that the Roman Church has brought against Rotary (see L'Osservatore Romano, 15 February 1928, “What is Rotary ?”)» [15] . Rotary first spread to English-speaking and Protestant countries (Canada and England, 1911), then to Western Europe and Latin America (1920-1939), and finally to Asia and Africa.
In 1928 the Catholic Church attacked Rotary (see P. Pirri , in “L'Osservatore Romano”, 15 February 1928) accusing it of para-freemasonry, since “its morality is nothing but a disguise of the Masonic one” [19] . On February 4, 1929, the Holy Office published a decree prohibiting priests in Italy from joining the Rotary Association, while in Spain, Cardinal Primate Pedro Segura y Saenz , Archbishop of Toledo, on January 23, 1929, extended the prohibition to simple baptized lay people, since the Association was based on an autonomous and secular morality , a globalist conception , a conception of philanthropic brotherhood in opposition to the theological virtue of charity, a subjectivist and relativist philosophy.
Even “La Civiltà Cattolica” dealt with the Masonic-Rotary question in three articles (16 June 1928, 21 July 1928 and 16 February 1929), in which the Rotary association was defined as “a Masonic emanation, a new kind of Freemasonry that operates in broad daylight”.
Political secularism, with the absolute separation of Church and State, is a cornerstone of Rotaryism and is contrary to traditional Ecclesiastical Public Law.”

"In the Revue Int. des Sociétés Secrètes of 16th October, 1927, there was a quotation from Neues Reich of 9th July, 1927, concerning the Rotary Club. According to this extract, Rotary is a particular aspect of Masonic activity, a sort of open Masonry. The principal object of Rotary is the elevation of the moral level of humanity. Hence at the recent Ostend Congress of Rotary Clubs from the entire world, the Belgian Minister of Justice defined Rotary as “a code of lay morality and of national and international citizenship.” To those acquainted with Masonic ideals, this last phrase speaks volumes."
