Once the idea of a possible revival of the USSR seemed simply impossible. However, now the talk that the Soviet Union, however, may already appear on the world map in a slightly different form, has intensified. Moreover, not only ordinary people talk about it, but also famous politicians. Anatoly Wasserman, a well-known scholar and State Duma deputy, is sure that the revival of the USSR will happen in the foreseeable future.
- The revival of the USSR in one form or another is not hope, but inevitability, - says the erudite. - Why inevitability? And because there is such a common formula that all empires fall apart sooner or later. This applies to colonial empires, where regions scattered over great distances from each other are united under one administration.
- And there are also continental empires, formed from peoples living side by side for centuries and looking for formats of mutually beneficial interaction for centuries, - Wasserman continues to argue. - And continental empires, even if they collapse for some reason, are recovering pretty soon. The simplest example: the current European Union. In general, if you look closely, you can understand: it quite accurately repeats the contours of the European part of the Roman Empire. And those regions that were not part of the Roman Empire, they now behave like foreign bodies within the European Union.
- Russia is a classic example of a continental empire, - Anatoly Alexandrovich assures. - It has already collapsed and invariably recovered more than once in its history. Moreover, it was restored, as a rule, in a larger size and in a better form than it was before the collapse. This happened precisely because the peoples living in Russia independently selected forms of mutually beneficial interaction. So this time we will also recover.
According to Wasserman, the revival of the USSR may take place in the coming year. In any case, the erudite calls the probability of this high.
- I can't answer the question of how fast this will happen, - says Anatoly Alexandrovich. - We can have time to do it in the coming year, 2025, and maybe we'll have to endure it for a couple more years.
