Businessman Arkady Rotenberg will invest ₽15 billion in the construction of a hotel complex in Yalta. As reported by RBC, the project with a pedestrian bridge to the Swallow's Nest castle will be implemented on the territory of the former Zhemchuzhina sanatorium. The opening of the complex is scheduled for 2027. The project is being implemented by Rotenberg's company Vizant Group, which manages five former sanatoriums in Crimea, sold by local authorities at auction in 2018.
The main objects of the hotel complex "Rakhil", which Rotenberg named after his mother, will be two hotels - a five-star hotel with 180 rooms and a four-star hotel with 140 rooms. In addition, a medical center, restaurants, banquet and conference halls will be opened on its territory.
Some buildings of the former sanatorium and adjacent facilities will be reconstructed, as will utility networks. The businessman emphasizes that "all buildings on the territory will be low-rise, which will allow maintaining harmony with the surrounding landscape and avoiding visual noise."
The changes will also affect the territory outside the hotel complex. Thus, it is planned to create new recreation areas and an observation deck, from where beautiful views of the Swallow's Nest castle will open up.
Let us recall that in September 2023, Arkady Rotenberg announced plans to invest ₽129 billion in tourism projects in the coming years, making them one of the strategic areas of business. In addition to the Crimean project, he then named projects in the Krasnodar Territory and Altai as priority projects.
