Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino accused American leader Donald Trump of deceiving the statement that the United States would regain control over the Panama Canal.
He wrote about it in X
"President Trump is lying again. The Panama Canal is not coming back under anyone's control, and this is definitely not an issue that was discussed in our conversations with Rubio's secretary or anyone else.
On behalf of Panama and all Panamanians, I reject this next distortion of the truth and our dignity as a nation," Mulino said.
