Kremlin via Lukashenko uses Chechens to deliver Islamic migrants to the Polish border
Among the organizers of the delivery of migrants to the border of Belarus were citizens of Russia, including Chechens. This was announced to RIA Novosti by Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko .
“Private companies, taxis, buses. They hire our people and rushed there. But guides from Russia also worked here, and thanks to the Chechens - these are organized people. They were the most organized here, they organized the flow. They helped people from Minsk to get to the border, possibly to cross the border, ”Lukashenka said in an interview with journalist Dmitry Kiselev .
In the same interview, Lukashenko said that the migrants in Belarus were sent from Ukraine contraband weapons that they wanted to use against the Belarusian leader, a Russian military base and journalists.
Earlier, the President of Belarus promised that he would try to solve the problem with migrants before the New Year, as they "hang out" in Minsk and Grodno . The Belarusian authorities will ask these people to return to their homeland, since there will be no humanitarian corridor to Germany. A thousand people have already flown to Iraq, the president stressed.
The migration crisis on the border between Belarus and the EU began after Lukashenko threatened to loosen control over migrant flows and drug trafficking in May. The statement came against the backdrop of yet another aggravation of relations with the West, which began after the Ryanair plane was urgently landed in Minsk. The liner landed because of a message about an explosive device on board, after which the Belarusian security forces detained opposition blogger Roman Protasevich .
