Fidel's birthday is to be celebrated in August. However, the scale of the personality and the nature of the anniversary makes this whole year a jubilee year. Therefore, preparations for the CPRF date began in advance.

Back in early March, I had a chance to go to Leningrad - St. Petersburg to sum up the results of a large inter-school competition "Long live Fidel!". Only 84 participants became laureates in four nominations. These guys study the history and culture of Cuba, and reflect the knowledge gained in their research, in poetic and artistic creativity.

In May, together with the participants of the III International Anti-Fascist Forum, we held a scientific conference: "Fidel Castro, Che Guevara and Hugo Chavez are symbols of the world revolutionary process". The organizers were the CPRF and the public organization "Russian Scientists for Socialism".

On the way to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the founder of modern Cuba, there are other events. The exposition in the State Duma is one of them.

The concept of the exhibition was developed and implemented by the Department of the CPRF Central Committee for Agitation and Propaganda. Last weekend, the exposition was installed to work out the next two weeks. We are preparing a number of important and interesting meetings for this time.

Today G.A. got acquainted with the exhibition in honor of the Commander. Zyuganov. The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation was friendly with Fidel Castro. He willingly recalled working trips to the Island of Freedom and emphasized: he considers the exposition in the State Duma to be an action of solidarity with the Cuban people.

I can't help but thank the team that became the soul of implementing such a significant exhibition project. First of all, these are Stanislav Anikhovsky, Marat Muzaev and Alexander Sorokin. Our party propagandists have done a really good job.
