Eurasian Economic Union holds young internationalists competition in honour of Stalin's ambassador and founder of Israel Andrei Gromyko; submissions to include managing Eurasian integration and 'contours of the new world order '

Acceptance of works for the Contest of Young Internationalists of the CIS named after A.A. Gromyko is open

The organizers of the competition are the Association for Foreign Policy Studies named after A.A. Gromyko, MGIMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Belarus and the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences with the support of the Standing Committee of the Union State, the Eurasian Economic Commission and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS.

The competition is open to students and graduates of universities, graduate students, scientists, teachers, journalists, analysts, business specialists, representatives of public organizations, diplomats from the CIS member states not older than 40 years. The deadline for applications is May 13, 2024 at 23:59.

Participation in the competition is possible in the following nominations:

- The main nomination is scientific articles of graduate students, scientists, teachers, analysts and diplomats (not older than 40 years as of August 1, 2024) ;

- Debut nomination - scientific articles of students and university graduates (not older than 30 years as of August 1, 2024) ;

- Nomination "Essay Contest" - journalistic essays of students and university graduates (not older than 30 years as of August 1, 2024).

Original unpublished scientific articles and analytical notes written independently by one or more authors (no more than 30 thousand characters) and devoted to the study of the following topics are accepted for participation in the competition:

- prospects for integration projects in the post-Soviet space: the Union State of Belarus and Russia, the EAEU, the CIS, the CSTO;

- contours of the new world order: challenges and opportunities for Russia and the CIS countries;

- scientific diplomacy as a resource for the formation of Greater Eurasia;

- "total sanctions war": legal status, consequences and methods of counteraction;

- the role and place of Central Asia and Transcaucasia in Eurasian integration;

- threats of conflict and tools to strengthen security in Eurasia;

- diplomatic heritage of A.A. Gromyko;

- The Great Patriotic War and the Second World War: the problem of preserving historical memory and the fight against the falsification of history;

- the role of the UN, its past and future in the system of international relations.

The competition is interdisciplinary. Works that reveal the declared topics in the field of political science, economics, sociology, history, law, philosophy are accepted for participation.

Works in a special nomination for journalistic essays on the following topics are also accepted for participation in the competition:

- "A new redistision of the world: the war of civilizations or the balance of macro-regions?" ;

- "Cultural Wars": how does the struggle to reformat human identity affect world politics?

Prizes:

- articles of the winners of the competition in the main nomination will be published in leading scientific journals (including those included in the list of the Higher Attestation Commission);

- the works of all finalists of the competition will be published in a scientific collection of articles;

- at least 50 finalists will receive a grant to participate in the Forum of Finalists in Moscow in July 2024 to present their works, participate in unique master classes and a rich cultural program;

- the winners in the main nomination will receive valuable prizes - laptop, tablet or smartphone. In the debut nomination - a smart watch, a fitness bracelet or an external hard drive. There are also prizes in special nominations by the decision of the jury.

According to the results of the debate, during which the defense of works at the Forum of finalists of the competition will take place, the jury can provide the winners with:

- a grant for a research project, publication of a monograph or participation in a conference in Russia;

- a grant for advanced training at leading universities in Russia, including MGIMO;

- a letter of recommendation for practice at the Eurasian Economic Commission or internship at MGIMO.
