I watched the movie so you don't have to lol
It takes the alien demon deception to a whole new level. It's a nonstop glorification of demonic possession, throotherism, and people holding the idiot ball to keep the plot moving in a way that only Spielberg can deliver. Definitely has anti-Catholic pro novus ordo stuff in there too, though its subtle. Yup the aliens possess us because they love and care about us; they want us to love and care about each other more. Getting possessed is a wonderful feeling, full of happy animals and magic powers that you should totally just vibe with (seriously that's most of the movie). No doubt its full of predictive programming, the whole movie is programming IMO.
Maybe the whole Alien deception thing will take the form of mass possession? The idea has been flouted before, though I don't remember where. It raises an interesting point, though, how many people are possessed, oppressed, or manipulated? It's impossible to tell since only you can know what goes on in your head (and only if you try), though judging from the signs of the times I think the number is quite higher than we imagine.
