Putin awards chief military rabbi of Russia
MOSCOW, May 12 - RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the Order of Friendship to Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursk Yevgeny (Kulberg) and Chief Military Rabbi of Russia Aaron Gurevich, the corresponding decree was published on Friday on the official portal of legal information.
"For his contribution to the preservation of spiritual, moral and cultural traditions, many years of fruitful activity, award the Order of Friendship to Aleksey Sergeevich Kulberg (Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Yevgeny), diocesan bishop of the Centralized Religious Organization of the Yekaterinburg Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church," the decree says.
Chief Military Rabbi of Russia Aaron (Aleksey) Gurevich was awarded the Order of Friendship "for active social activities aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples."
