Trump appoints Jew Isaacman to head NASA

Billionaire Jared Isaacman, who made the first ever spacewalk as part of a commercial space flight, can lead NASA. U.S. President-elect Donald Trump shared his plans for his appointment. "Jared's passion for space, astronaut experience and the desire to expand the boundaries of research, reveal the secrets of the universe and develop a new space economy make him an ideal candidate for the post of head of NASA in a bold new era," Trump said.
Isaacman, who has already been in space twice since 2021, promised to make the United States a leader in space in response to Trump's trust. "With the support of President Trump, I can promise you the following: we will never again postpone the program of travel to the stars and will never be satisfied with second place," Isaacman wrote on the social network. "Americans will walk on the Moon and Mars, and by doing so, we will make life here on Earth better," he added.
Recall that in September Isaacman, who made his fortune on payment processing, successfully put the Crew Dragon capsule from SpaceX into orbit, launched as part of a research mission financed by him. As part of the mission, he went into outer space, becoming the first civilian in interstellar space, completely depressurized the ship for the first time and reached a record distance of 1400 km from Earth for a manned spacecraft.
