Russia's Jewish Museum and Tolerance Centre to host celebration of Soviet Victory Day

On May 9, the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center will host festive events dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War on the summer veranda. On this day, guests will have the opportunity to visit the free exhibition "There is not a single personal destiny here, all fates are merged into one. People in the Great Patriotic War." The events of 1941-1945 are presented in the exposition through the prism of the history and fate of individuals who faced severe trials and made an invaluable contribution to the collective feat of the country. Before the entrance to the Jewish Museum and Tolerance Center, the T-26 tank will be installed for several days, it will be a thematic continuation of the exhibition. This is the most numerous tank of the 1940s, it was this model that became famous for the world's first tank ram and participated in all military campaigns of the first half of the twentieth century: Finnish, Spanish and the Great Patriotic War.

From 12:00 to 20:30, the museum will host festive events: Honored Artists of the Russian Federation Ekaterina Guseva, Nonna Grishaeva, as well as Soviet and Russian theater and film actor Leonid Yarmolnik will read poems of the war years. The guests will be performed by: instrumental trio "Music of Victory"; Moscow Klezmer Band, performers of folk music of Jewish towns; and instrumental sextet Show Brass Band, whose repertoire includes such compositions as "Farewell of the Slav", "Dark Night", "Smuglyanka", "Farewell Waltz" and many others.

The field kitchen will be open all day.
