The combined wealth of the richest entrepreneurs from Russia has grown by $10.4 billion since the beginning of the year, and the co-owner of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov added the most, whose capital grew by $2.43 billion, reaching $17.8 billion, RIA Novosti calculated based on data Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI).
The index is calculated based on the value of shares of companies in which billionaires own stakes. For some companies, the calculation is based on the ratio of their capitalization to EBITDA or share price to earnings per share. In total, the BBI rating includes the 500 richest people in the world, and it now includes 22 Russian citizens, and their total fortune as of March 1 is $ 273.82 billion.
The richest of the dozen businessmen was one of the main owners of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin , who has reduced his fortune by $94.2 million to $28.5 billion since the beginning of the year. Second place is occupied by Novatek co-owner Leonid Mikhelson , whose fortune has grown by $516 million to $25.1 billion . In third place is the beneficiary of NLMK Vladimir Lisin , who has increased his fortune by $905 million since the beginning of the year, to $20.8 billion.
Fourth place is occupied by Alexei Mordashov , whose fortune has grown by $1.54 billion to $20.2 billion. In fifth position is Alisher Usmanov(Metalloinvest, Megafon), who has grown rich by $738 million, his fortune is now estimated at $19.2 billion.

The sixth place is occupied by the co-owner of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov (withdrew from the board of directors and resigned as president of the company) with 17.8 billion. Bloomberg estimates his net worth has grown at $2.43 billion since the start of the year. Seventh on the list was Mikhail Prokhorov (the Onexim group): his fortune increased by $579 million to $13.8 billion.
In eighth place is the former beneficiary of EuroChem and SUEK Andrey Melnichenko (withdrew from the co-owners on March 9 last year, falling under EU sanctions) - his fortune decreased by $506 million, to $12.6 billion. The ninth position is occupied by the co-owner of Novatek and Sibur, Gennady Timchenko, whose fortune has decreased by $64.3 million and now stands at $11.7 billion. The top ten is closed by the founder of Alfa Group, Mikhail Fridman, whose fortune has grown by $387 million since the beginning of the year, to $11.7 billion.
