Russian hotel chain Azimut Hotels enters the Israeli market
Russia's largest hotel chain Azimut Hotels will open two hotels in Israel - in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. This was announced in an interview with RBC by Maxim Brodovsky, CEO of the company. According to him, the first hotel can start operating by mid-2025.
Both hotels will be managed by Azimut Hotels, the company told RBC. Each of them is designed for about 120 rooms. The amount of investment is not disclosed. Brodovsky specified that part of the funds from the sale of European assets were invested in the projects.
He added that hotels in Israel are designed for both travelers and those who go on religious tours and business trips. The international development of Azimut Hotels remains a strategic task of the network, said Maxim Brodovsky.
Azimut Hotels has existed since 2006, under its management there are almost 70 hotels and sanatoriums with a total fund of 11 thousand rooms. In October 2022, Azimut re-registered from Luxembourg to a special administrative district on the territory of Oktyabrsky Island (Kaliningrad region). In 2023, the hotel chain announced that it would completely stop doing business in Europe.
