The first Jewish women's congress held a meeting with Rabbi Alex Artovsky
Meeting with Rabbi Alex Artovsky on the topic "Who am I? Or Where Am I?" organized the First Women's Jewish Congress together with the STMEGI Foundation. The meeting was held in the loft space "Ministry". Alex Artovsky is a rabbi of the Moscow Jewish Community Center, author of a popular YouTube channel, teacher, expert in Hasidic teachings and Kabbalah, author of several books on the Jewish tradition.
From the lecture, women learned that personal growth depends on living examples that a person encounters in life. The audience received answers to the following questions: what examples from life accompany us, what we choose as a model for life, which models can really become examples of our personal growth, who influences us in life, what is the best example from life, literature or from the Torah to give children to motivate them, help decide who to become and what to strive for.
The guests of the meeting were welcomed by the founders of the First Women's Jewish Congress Judith Sorkina and Leia Gavrilova, who told about the trip to Lyubavichi planned for February 9 to celebrate the 111th anniversary of the departure of children Nehama Dina Schneerson, the wife of Rebbe Rayats. The main mission of the First Women's Jewish Congress is creative activity, charity, education, personal growth and business development, as well as the creation of an effective system of women's mutual assistance and cooperation to solve various problems. Judith Sorkina notes: "The main task of the lecture hall is to be able to convey the Torah to women from a philosophical point of view, so that we can apply certain laws, to consider the parallels with our modern life that is in the Torah. Every woman should leave with a huge amount of knowledge, having clear instructions for action in a given situation."
Alex Artovsky's lecture was very lively, in a warm atmosphere. Women listened and asked questions with great interest. At the end of the lecture, a lottery was held, in which cosmetic kits provided by one of the founders of the congress, Julianna Winner, as well as gift certificates for visiting the massage parlor were played.
