Chabad once again takes credit for Stalin's death

Meeting year - end of term

However, as the Rebbe King Moshiach began to take over, we found that the potential for the outcome of the seventh year was consistently channeled into positive outcomes.

Meeting year - end of term
MEETING YEAR - END OF TERM
The instructions of the Lubavitcher Rebbe regarding the "year of assembly" ("shnat akel") are well known - to use every opportunity for the assembly of Jews, to strengthen the observance of the commandments and fear of God, to strengthen unity. However, it is difficult to find a proper explanation of what a "gathering year" really is on a deeper level. However, there are hints in the words of the Rebbe of King Moshiach that can help flesh out our idea of the gathering year and give us more vitality in this important matter.

First, let us note some of the dramatic events that took place during the years of the meeting:

1) 5713 (1953) - the ominous "Doctors' Plot" in Russia and the sudden death of Stalin as a result of a farbrengen on Purim of that year.

2) 5727 (1967) - the fear of the Six Day War, followed by a great victory.

3) 5734 (1973) - the tragic beginning of the Yom Kippur War, which turned into a miraculous victory.

4) 5741 (1981) - a significant threat to a nuclear reactor in Iraq and the successful bombing of this reactor by the Israeli Air Force.

In 5748 (1987), during the biggest revival about the year of the meeting, the Rebbe King Moshiach made a comment that gives a big hint of what is behind the scenes of the whole idea of the year of the meeting. During the general audience on Kislev 24 (before the holiday of Hanukkah), the Rebbe introduced a new decree (putting a Hanukkah lamp in the door of the children's room) with the following words: “Since we are in the year of the assembly, and accordingly there is an increase in undesirable things (which have already begun or may come, God forbid), then the best and most appropriate thing now is to increase the light in the world.

In 5748, around this time, the first "intifada" began (12/8/1987). Interestingly, after that - in 5755, 5762, 5769 and 5776 - there were no such dramatic events. Perhaps this is one example of how a person for whom a miracle is performed does not pay attention to it.

We need to ask: after all, the year of the assembly is a holy event for all the Jews in the Temple who come to listen to the reading of the Torah from the mouth of the king. What is the connection with "undesirable things"?!

In fact, we find such a connection in a conversation in the Miketz chapter of 5752, where the Rebbe says: “Our approach to the coming of Moshiach is also the cause of the increase in darkness in the world - for it is through the increase in holiness that the opposite side is strengthened, which opposes the arrival of Moshiach, but the enemy must be fought. This is the idea of Moshiach, who leads the wars of the Almighty to a victorious end.

In a similar vein, the Rebbe mentions 1 story by the Rebbe RAYATZ that in 5666 the Rebbe was very afraid of RASHAB, as this was the date of the coming of Moshiach (in addition to the fact that it was a leap year). This timeline obviously fits in with the idea of "strengthening the opposing side against the coming of Moshiach," but what does that have to do with the year of the meeting?

We may recall that the year of the assembly follows the seventh year and is called in the Talmud "the exodus of the seventh year." Talmud 2 states: "In the sixth - voices, in the seventh - wars, at the end of the seventh - the descendant of David comes."

This seems to imply that the year of the meeting - "the end of the seventh year" - is in some way a recurring date for the coming of Moshiach. (We even see that the year of the assembly is mentioned in Torah 3 by the word "term": "After the term of seven years" - at the [end] of seven years.) We can already see the connection with the Rebbe's expression that the assembly year is a time when there is a danger of "strengthening undesirable things," like the end of a term. The Rebbe himself mentions 4 that: "The year of the assembly is also associated with the Deliverance, since it is the end of the seventh year, the time that is ripe for the coming of the son of David."

In other words, the end of the seventh year is a kind of deadline. And we have already seen that the Rashab Rebbe had reason to fear such a year. Rabbi Shabtai Cohen (SHAH) gives an example of a deadline that was "exchanged", G-d forbid: he calculated that the year 5408 should have been the year of Liberation, but instead the opportunity was "turned over" and it became a year of massacres (monstrous pogroms and massacres by the Cossacks of Khmelnytsky in Poland and Ukraine in 1648-1649).

In 5713, the Rebbe himself mentions 5 such a “substitution”, saying: “Since we are on the verge of Rosh Hashanah at the end of the seventh year, may it be the will of the Almighty that the words of our sages about the coming of the son of David be fulfilled (instead of the destruction of the Temple was at the end of the seventh year) ... "

The Rebbe refers to Talmud 6 , which says that the destruction of Temples I and II took place at the end of the seventh year. In later generations, the Russian Revolution, the rise of the Nazi Party, and the German invasion of Poland (the beginning of World War II) all took place at the end of the seventh year. Unfortunately, many times the term at the end of the seventh year was "replaced" and instead of the coming of Moshiach there was "strengthening of unwanted things."

However, as the Rebbe King Moshiach began to take office, we found that the potential for the outcome of the seventh year was consistently channeled into positive outcomes. We see that the Rebbe successfully used the power of the assembly year to unleash the tremendous potential of the end date at the close of the seventh year to transform darkness into light.

Moreover, the Rebbe gave each of us the opportunity to do the same. In a general letter of 5727, the Rebbe wrote 7 that in the year of the assembly: “Every Jew has the power (if he only really wants to) to influence and change… an entire city… and he has the ability to influence changes in the world…”

And we influence this change through the year of assembly, as the 8th Rebbe bluntly wrote in 5734, after the Yom Kippur War:

“Additional emphasis on the gathering of men, women and children was made in connection with the event, which began on Yom Kippur this year and was aimed at men, women and children, as they make up the Jewish people. All who came together to gather 9 are what saved and will continue to save the entire Jewish people.”

The end of the seventh year is the end date for the coming of Moshiach. When we successfully use this, we will have the aspect of Liberation: "The son of David comes", and in his "replacement" the opponents of the house of David rise up: "At the end of the seventh year, Jeroham took power over Israel."

The year of the assembly is associated with the Temple. The destruction of the Temple created the opposite of the assembly, exile. It is only through the leadership of the Rebbe that the idea of a gathering year has returned to prominence, and we can see its positive results. The Rebbe "builds the Temple in its place" and continues to expand it 10 ; it gives every Jew the right to take part in turning the term of the end of the assembly year into Liberation 11 .

By following the Rebbe's instructions to use every opportunity to bring Jews together for Torah words and God fear, we can "influence changes in the world" by influencing the miraculous destruction of Israel's enemies: "They will say things, but it will not come to pass." We add light to neutralize unwanted things, until not only is the darkness cast aside and reduced to nothing, but the darkness itself will shine, as it is said 12: “But the darkness will not hide (me ) from You, and the night, like day, shines [before You]; darkness is like light.
