Gennady Zyuganov: Russia has no right to make a mistake!

We are all following with great interest the negotiations that began in the middle of last week between Presidents Putin and Trump. Today, the negotiation process continues in Riyadh by solid delegations, which will announce a package of concrete proposals at the end of the day.
In my opinion, our country and the whole planet face a very responsible task to ensure that these negotiations end in good and peace. But it should be taken into account that we entered into negotiations with the country that declared war on us. With NATO, which has been waging this war for three years. And we are facing a very complex dialogue that will require the efforts of all parties, factions, movements and our scientific and industrial complex.
Yesterday, Foreign Minister Lavrov said that it is necessary to carefully study history. And we have a unique centuries-old history of such negotiations. Lenin was forced to go to the "lewd" Brest peace in order to save the Soviet Republic and its capital. But then he formed the four-million Red Army in a year, split the Entente, liberated the country. It was he who peacefully gathered a great power in a new form - the USSR, continuing the thousand-year history of Russian statehood.
Stalin went to a complex peace, to the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact, with Hitler's Germany. But he used a year and a half of peace to put the production of all the latest weapons on stream, "broke" Roosevelt and Churchill and within three rounds of negotiations formed the world order that existed for almost half a century.
Brezhnev and Kosygin created missile and nuclear parity in ten years, helped to drive Americans out of Vietnam. And President Nixon was forced to sign agreements not only on the reduction of nuclear weapons, but also on science, education and even trade.
President Putin and we now face an extremely difficult task. And we have very weighty arguments for its solution. But I want to emphasize: we have no right to make a mistake! After all, any mistake will lead to destabilization within the country and to a defeat that the next generations will not forgive us.
What are our main arguments? First of all, we have an economic growth rate of more than 4%. And those who are trying to break this pace oppose the peace treaty.
We have all the conditions for the revival of domestic science and education. And I want to thank our large team headed by Alferov, Melnikov, Kashin, Smolin, Ostanina, Savitskaya for laying the brilliant foundations of the upcoming reform of science and education.
You and I have popular support and army cohesion. There is unity on the main issues that we submitted to the State Duma for consideration. We have powerful Armed Forces, a well-functioning military-industrial complex and everything necessary to advance along the entire front line.
All this will inevitably become the main arguments during the negotiations. Trump will also have to listen to them. By the way, he demonstrated a good knowledge of our history, saying: why did we unleash a war against a powerful nuclear country that defeated Napoleon and Hitler? Today, when we are preparing for the 80th anniversary of the Victory, we need to carry out active educational work with the new generation of our country so that it knows its own history.
Whoever thinks Trump's actions are chaotic, he is wrong. His strategy is well thought out and calibrated. For the first time, the military-industrial and technological complex of the United States began to have such power. They have already "bent" Canada, robbed Europe. They already transport goods cheaply along the Panama Canal. And they will dictate their conditions to everyone. Moreover, the "score" was painted in such a way that Europe, having gathered yesterday in Paris under the leadership of Macron's "cock", could not make a single consolidated decision.
The U.S. Secretary of Defense came and directly said: there will be no Ukraine in NATO. And if you get there, we remove the fifth article of the alliance charter and leave you without a nuclear "umbrella". And U.S. Vice President Vance generally stated at the Munich Security Conference that today the main enemy for America is not Russia or China, but European orders, which have crossed out all the foundations of democracy and human rights. Then he gave a brilliant lecture about the fact that the voter is always right. I would advise this speech by Vance to distribute to United Russia so that you read it carefully and also adjust your electoral legislation.
Today we are obliged to do everything to support the president and the team that will conduct negotiations. We need to help her implement our plans. But I want to remind this team: it is necessary to clearly understand who we are dealing with.
When Trump became president of the United States, the first thing he did was to order a rocket fire on Syria. Second, the Americans killed the top military commanders in Iran. Third, he tried to stage a coup in Venezuela. Fourth, he imposed new sanctions on Cuba. Fifth, he interrupted the negotiations on the Middle East. He set himself the task of making America great again. And he understands perfectly well that today the potential of the United States and China has leveled out, and in ten years China will overtakin the United States twice in the production of industrial products. Preventing this is the key goal to which all the actions of his new administration are subordinated.
But Trump himself has 1430 days left in the White House, and there will be no other term. Therefore, he prepares Vance as successors to add eight years of his presidency to his rule and make America the number one country in twelve years. The country is the most advanced economy, with artificial intelligence, with the latest technologies. And neutralize all those who try to contradict them.
In these conditions, we must, first of all, do everything to improve the financial and economic course. Bankers already this year prophese us 1-1.5% growth. But we have already had 1% growth for ten years. And as a result, we got a war and other serious problems. Therefore, we urgently need to mobilize and build our line. After all, what is happening now is absolutely abnormal. Our village is already suffocating, the construction complex is suffocating. With such a financial and economic policy, the industry cannot work normally. There is money, but domestic producers are denied access to it!
It is necessary to strengthen the support of the guys who are fighting on the front line. V.I. and I We're sending the 135th convoy there. Our whole team works great. Today we awarded distinguished activists with commemorative gold medals dedicated to the anniversary of our Victory.
As for the expansion of the circle of our allies, BRICS and the SCO are a unique invention of Putin and Xi Jinping. And if we tremble and threaten the strength of these alliances, it will become a crime with serious consequences for a hundred years to come. There are no other options for strengthening our confrontation between the power of America and NATO in this situation. In this regard, our party is preparing a memorandum. Together with our Chinese comrades, we laid the "Red Route" from Beijing through Ulyanovsk, Kazan and Moscow to Leningrad, to the cruiser "Aurora". And the president supports it. So "United Russia" will have to respond.
We are now finalizing preparations for a large-scale International Anti-Fascist Forum. It is prepared by Afonin, Novikov, Kalashnikov and Taisayev. We invite you to take part in it. Delegations from more than a hundred countries will gather there. The program is very extensive, starting with Red Square, Poklonnaya Gora and the Soviet Army Theater. The Alexandrov Ensemble plans to perform and show what our great culture is.
What should Russia be afraid of? First of all, the "fifth column"! It was she who strangled the Soviet country. And you still won't make a decision to return Stalingrad to his heroic name. And on this Yeltsin viper's in the center of Moscow, built for a billion three hundred million. Who allowed it? Let's investigate together! Don't you understand that this is a challenge to everyone who is fighting today? This is absolutely unacceptable!
And if you fence us with the Mausoleum again on May 9, no truly patriotic organization will forgive it! So let's officially ask the question and bring the Red Square into the state it was in 1945, when the legendary Victory Parade was held there. That's when we will prove that we are able to ensure the unity of generations.
And we should also beware of provocations. Because provocations happened every time when it was necessary to conclude the most responsible agreements. The main top-class specialists in their organization are sitting in London. For centuries, they have practiced the most sophisticated subversive actions around the world. In this regard, special attention should be paid to the Baltics today.
I urge all of you to work actively to conclude the historic agreement that President Putin is talking about. We must ensure that this agreement provides us with security for decades to come.
