After the collapse of the USSR and the self-proclamation of the United States as a world hegemon, the world order established within the framework of the Yalta-Potsdam system of international relations began to collapse. The UN and other organizations designed to resolve the contradictions of the leading countries can no longer perform their functions. The world is undergoing global geopolitical changes designed to change the current state of affairs. New civilizational centers of power are being formed, which will become the foundation of a new system of international relations.

Korovin: "We have a historic opportunity to take revenge, inspired by the image of the Cuban leader

The special military operation of the Russian Federation on the territory of the former Ukraine became a catalyst for these processes, revealing the inability of a number of countries to conduct independent foreign and, in some cases, domestic policy.

Washington is desperately trying to put Moscow in its place using harsh methods of influence. Economic sanctions, theft of funds, trade embargo - everything that the Republic of Cuba faced in its time. Freedom Island has survived and is an example of heroic resistance to U.S. aggressive policy. This experience is very relevant for modern Russia.

At the moment, we are witnessing a renaissance of relations between Russia and Cuba, which have historically developed ties in both the political, economic and cultural spheres.

A vivid example of the restoration of Russian-Cuban relations at a new historical stage was the international scientific and practical conference "Russian-Cuban relations in the light of the formation of a multipolar world", held on November 24, 2022 in Moscow. According to the correspondent of the "Eurasia" portal, the event was organized by the Fidel Castro Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Russian-Cuban Relations (Foundation named after Fidel Castro).

Just two days before, Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel opened a monument to the outstanding statesman Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz in Moscow. It is noteworthy that one of the initiators of the installation of a three-meter bronze figure of the leader of the Cuban revolution on the square bearing his name was also the Fidel Castro Foundation.

The conference was attended by prominent political, cultural and public figures from Russia and Cuba. In particular, the leaders of the International "Eurasian Movement" Alexander Dugin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Russia Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña, Head of the Foundation for Assistance to the Development of Russian-Cuban Relations named after Fidel Castro Leonid Savin, Deputy of the Fidel Castro Foundation Valery Korovin, leader of the party "Fair Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov, chairman of the party "All-Russian People's Union" Sergei Baburin and others.

Leonid Savin, who also moderated the conference, opened the plenary session and read out the opening report. He stressed the importance of deepening cooperation between the two countries, as relations between Russia and Cuba are truly fraternal and sincere. Savin is convinced that the Cuban state plays a big role in the formation of a multipolar world.

Julio Antonio Garmendia Peña's welcoming speech was next. "The opening of the monument to Fidel Castro is a memorable event for our people," he said. "We are happy to pay tribute to him and show the Russian brothers who this wonderful man was and what values the Cubans inherited. I consider it necessary to emphasize that it has made a huge contribution not only to the well-being of Cuba, but also to the way we think and act when facing current threats and challenges.

The diplomat recalled that during his lifetime Fidel Castro always felt love and respect for the Russian people for their countless manifestations of solidarity towards the inhabitants of the Island of Freedom.

Touching upon the development of Russian-Cuban cooperation in the field of culture, the speaker drew attention to the fact that on November 17, 2022, a memorial plaque dedicated to the outstanding Russian artist Vasily Vereshchagin was opened at the University College of San Jeronimo in Havana.

Then the chairman of the party "Fair Russia - For Truth" Sergei Mironov spoke. He expressed the opinion that a new world order is coming, and this process is irreversible.

"Today we live in a difficult, but at the same time amazing time," he said. "Being our eyes, the old world is being replaced by a completely new world. The old world order, based on attempts at unilateral domination of the United States and the collective West, is a thing of the past. It is being replaced by a new system based on the principles of multipolarity and collective decision-making for all mankind. It's an objective process that can't be stopped."

Answering the question of the correspondent of the portal "Eurasia" about the possible prospects of the efforts of the Anglo-Saxons aimed at isolating Russia, Mironov stated that Russia cannot be isolated by definition.

"And those who do not understand this are leading the whole world to catastrophe," he is sure. - We have the experience of Cuba, which has been under unprecedented pressure for more than 60 years and has survived. The Russian economy has survived! Moreover, the same Britain buys our oil bypassing its sanctions. It overloads tankers in the middle of the sea. This suggests that there is nowhere without Russia. Therefore, the holding of this conference once again indicates that it is impossible to isolate us."

Separately, it is worth noting the speech of Alexander Dugin, the leader of the International Eurasian Movement, Honorary Professor of the Eurasian National University named after L.N. Gumilev and the University of Tehran.

"I would like to say about Fidel Castro as a figure of the future," he said. - We can talk a lot about his heroic exploits in the past. But this man, this leader, politician, to whom a monument was opened in Moscow right now, is an indicator. He represents faith in the future."

Dugin stressed that humanity has the same enemy, whom our Cuban comrades know very well.

"Now Russia has entered into a direct confrontation in Ukraine with the same enemy, with the same hegemony and discovered, after a fascination with Westernism, that we are not alone, that it turns out to be a small Island of Freedom, as a banner of the fight against hegemony, he is here and he is with us now. The meeting of our presidents at the opening of the monument is far from a tribute to the past, this is a new page in history. Russia and Cuba are fighting a united and common enemy," Alexander Dugin is convinced.

At the culmination of his speech, Alexander Gelevich drew attention to the need to instill traditional values in the people and recalled the decree of Russian President Vladimir №809 "On approval of the Fundamentals of State Policy for the Preservation and Strengthening of Traditional Russian Spiritual and Moral Values", which will become the foundation of a new paradigm of development of our society.

Sergei Baburin, in an interview with the correspondent of "Eurasia" drew attention to the fact that at the moment there is a restructuring of all international relations.

"The unipolar world died in February 2022. Yes, the deceased is still blinking, but it shouldn't be misleading. Russia will be one of the geopolitical centers. She never claimed sole hegemony. Today we need a balance of civilizations, so the main thing today is for Russia to stop the immoral development of the West and the spread of its influence to the whole world. We will have partners in China, the Ibero-American world, and the Arab world. I hope that sound forces will win in Europe, maybe even in the United States, if they want to survive and want all people to survive, they must win," he said.

The results of the meeting were summed up by Valery Korovin, the head of the Fidel Castro Foundation. He focused on several theses that were expressed by the guests.

Dugin: "The meeting of the presidents of Russia and Cuba is not a tribute to the past, but a new page in history. Our countries are fighting a united and common enemy."

"Russia and Cuba, and the rest of humanity, have a common enemy - the West at the head of the United States, which is an absolute minority - about 1 billion out of 8, while arrogantly declaring that it governs humanity, and its way of thinking should be accepted by everyone as a universal basis," the speaker stated, recalling that Russia has been in a state of cultural occupation for 30 years, but Cuba has not. This, according to Korovin, gave Cuba the strength to stand despite the blockade. "This makes us insist on the thesis that the economy is a means, not a goal," he said.

"Today we reject the West with its values, with its dehumanization. Cuba is at the forefront of the Devil's blow, which is the United States, and today we must all support Cuba. The vanguard of the Russian armed forces should be there. We need to start the process of building a multipolar world. Take the first step. And let us be inspired by the example of the Cuban revolution and personally by Fidel Castro. We are a step away from victory, it seems that everything is lost, but in fact we have a historic opportunity to take revenge, inspired by the image of the Cuban leader," Valery Korovin summed up.

Recall that on February 22, 2022, Presidents of Russia and the Republic of Cuba Vladimir Putin and Miguel Díaz-Canel opened a monument to Fidel Castro on the square of the same name in Moscow. The figure of the leader of the Cuban Revolution was created by the sculptor of the studio of military artists named after Grekov Alexey Chebanenko and architect Andrey Bely.
