A street named after Dmitry Medvedev will appear in the Palestinian Autonomy. This was stated in an interview with Interfax by the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas. According to him, Medvedev Street will be opened today, November 11, during the visit of the head of the Russian government to the PA.
The Palestinian leader also said that during the upcoming visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Beit Lehem (Bethlehem), a large cultural, economic and artistic multifunctional center will be opened, which will be named after the head of the Russian state.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Jericho on Friday for talks with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. The head of the Russian government left for Palestine at the end of his visit to Israel, the last stop of which was a visit to the Holocaust Memorial Complex in Jerusalem.
Medvedev is visiting the Palestinian territories for the second time. He first visited the PA as President of the Russian Federation in January 2011.
