Urgent call from Putin's rabbi Berel Lazar: To be vaccinated against COVID-19, God teaches us responsibility for each other

Russia's chief rabbi, Berel Lazar, has called on all Jews to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
" Vaccination may seem to have nothing to do with keeping God's commandments and service, but in reality it is not. Our sages teach that life is a gift from God, each of us has received his body from the Creator, and so we we have a duty to take care of the health of our bodies,"Berel Lazar was quoted as saying by Interfax .
Russia's chief rabbi notes that he has discussed vaccination with many doctors in Russia and abroad, " and they all agree that vaccination is absolutely safe ."
The rabbi also referred to the opinion of the leading religious leaders of the Jewish world, who came to the conclusion that people need to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. He cited Israel as an example, where more than half of the population is already fully vaccinated, and as a result, the Israeli state has moved closer to collective immunity, and morbidity there has dropped significantly.
" So let's leave the doubts and hesitations and get vaccinated all together. Come and get vaccinated, bring your loved ones. We must all be responsible for each other. God forbid the pandemic ends as soon as possible , "added Berel Lazar
