The Immortal Regiment march in Israel took place on Victory Day in the coastal city of Netanya, a TASS correspondent reports.

Hundreds of people took part in it. They walked along the Netanya embankment with flags of the USSR, Russia, former Soviet republics, Israel, copies of the Victory Banner, many carried photographs of relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War. Musical pieces from the war years and patriotic songs were played.

At the end of the procession, a ceremonial wreath-laying ceremony took place at the Victory Memorial in Netanya. Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov emphasized that Israel carefully preserves the memory of the Great Victory and the heroism of the Red Army soldiers. Wreaths were also laid by ambassadors of a number of CIS countries, representatives of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, local municipal authorities, and Israeli public and veteran organizations.

The Memorial to the Red Army's Victory over Nazi Germany is located in the very center of Netanya on the picturesque shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is located next to the Beit Yad LeBanim complex, dedicated to the memory of soldiers who fell in the wars for the State of Israel.

Visitors approach the monument itself through a "dark labyrinth" - a zigzagging passage of black stone, the turns of which symbolize the main tragic moments in the history of the Jewish people. Then the "light at the end of the tunnel" opens up before visitors - an exit to a sun-drenched circular platform overlooking the sea, in the center of which is a large sculpture in the form of dove wings.
