Lev Leviev's grandson was killed tonight (Tuesday) in a car accident in the city of Yehud. 24-year-old Yoel Leviev was riding an electric bicycle and was hit by a car on Weizman Street in Yehud City.
The deceased is the son of Shalom Leviev, and the grandson of billionaire Lev Leviev. He only recently successfully completed his medical studies and received a doctorate.
MDA reported that at 11:46 p.m. a report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Yarkon area, about an electric bicycle rider who was hit by a vehicle on Weizman Street in Yehud. MDA medics and paramedics provided medical treatment and referred to Sheba-Tel Hashomer Hospital, a young man in critical condition during CPR operations with multi-system trauma.
Health Minister Uriel Bosso, who also serves as an emergency medic at the MDA and came across the incident, said: "This is a man who was very seriously injured and suffered injuries in all parts of his body. We gave him medical treatment and performed advanced and intensive resuscitation operations at the same time as treating his wounds and evacuated him to the hospital while continuing resuscitation operations as we fight for his life."
His funeral will take place today at 16:00 at the Spanish Funeral Home in Har Hamanuhut, Jerusalem
