Minister for Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC Sergey Glazyev spoke about the importance of interface of economic cooperation that meets the tasks of the Eurasian integration project and the Chinese initiative "One Belt - One Road", as well as about the processes of transition to new technological and world economic systems in the Greater Eurasia at a seminar at the Chongyang Institute of Financial Studies at the People's University of China Renmin on May 31 in Beijing.
"The level of integration achieved in the EAEU, the solution of the highest-agreed development tasks of the Union until 2030 and for the period until 2045 put it at the center of the formation of the Great Eurasian Partnership," said Sergey Glazyev. The interface of the EAEU with the OPOP can become the core of the formation of a new world economic system.
During the seminar, the EEC Minister explained the trends of structural changes in the world economy associated with the change of technological and world economic patterns, showed their impact on trade and economic relations of the EAEU with the new center of the world economy, emerging in China and Southeast Asia as a whole.Particular attention at the seminar was paid to the need to eliminate emerging barriers to trade due to the difficulties of payments and settlements in the current geopolitical situation. Proposals to overcome them through the use of digital instruments, the creation of specialized banks, and the docking of national infrastructures of the financial market were substantiated.
Glazyev stressed that one of the fundamental factors in the formation of the BEP is the deepening of the dialogue between the leading economies and regional integration structures in the Eurasian space, including the EAEU, the CIS, the SCO and ASEAN. In modern realities, the format of inter-integration dialogue on the reform of the international monetary and financial system, information security, the introduction of digital technologies is becoming an important component of creating a new world economic order.
Dr. Wang Wen announced further discussion at the university on responsibility for the future of the world economy and the creation of a fair system of global governance. These topics are consonant with the ideas expressed by Chinese President Xi Jinping during the talks on May 16 in Beijing with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
