ISEG 2 took the 13th place in the TOP500 rating. Its peak power is 338.49 petaflops, and the total number of nuclei reaches 718.848. The first ISEG supercomputer debuted in the rating in November 2023.

The Dutch Nebius Group (formerly known as Yandex NV), headed by Yandex co-founder Arkady Volozh, has got a second supercomputer. This follows from the information presented in the next rating of the most productive computers in the world of the TOP500 project. This data was confirmed by Nebius in his X account.

TOP500 is a project to rank and describe the 500 most powerful supercomputers in the world, which are known to the public. It was launched in 1993. Twice a year (in June and November) the project publishes an up-to-date list of supercomputers.

We are talking about the ISEG 2 supercomputer, the capacity of which at the peak is 338.49 petaflops. The total number of nuclei reaches 718,848. The computer is equipped with an Intel Xeon Platinum 8468 central processor with 48 cores and 96 threads, as well as an Nvidia H200 Tensor Core GPU graphics card. For high-performance computing, it uses a high-speed InfiniBand NDR400 interconnect switched computer network based on NVIDIA Quantum-2 with a bandwidth of up to 400 Gbps.

The supercomputer ranked 13th in terms of performance.

Nebius reported in X that the ISEG 2 system is located in Iceland. "Its debut in the top-500 ranking at the 13th place made the ISEG 2 the most powerful commercially available supercomputer in Europe and the second most powerful of the most productive commercial systems in the world," the report says.

The first supercomputer Nebius ISEG, named after Yandex co-founder Ilya Segalovich, first appeared in the TOP500 rating in November 2023. Then he took the 16th place. The 86.79 petaflops system was built in the former Yandex data center in Finland. In the June TOP500 rating, ISEG ranked 39th.
