I believe that Lenin's birthday is an outstanding event in our history.
It marks the birth of a genius, the birth of a new world, the birth of an amazing people's power that awakened hope in all of humanity for a dignified life.
And, moreover, on this glorious day – today – we are opening the Second International Anti-Fascist Forum.
164 delegations representing communist, workers and people's patriotic forces have already arrived in Moscow from 91 countries.
Just keep in mind that this is not just an event. You know the attitude of NATO countries to everything that our country is doing, you know how they are currently hindering it. Including negotiations between the leaders of our country and the USA on normalizing our mutual relations.
So, here at this forum we have envoys from peoples who are against fascism, who want peace and friendship with our country. Representatives of all NATO countries: the USA, England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain. This is fundamentally important!
— And how long will the forum last?
— Three days. We open it on Red Square, at the Mausoleum of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, in the Alexander Garden, where we will pay our respects to the heroes of the Soviet Union who won an outstanding victory over the fascists.
This year we celebrate 80 years of this glorious victory. So today two anniversaries have united in order to support all who fight Nazism, fascism, who continue to implement Lenin's ideas. And his main idea was the happiness of the working people, peace, friendship and brotherhood on our planet.
Lenin was the first person on our planet to create a Soviet people's socialist state, which showed everyone an example of how to work, study, win and implement the best social programs in the world, be it free education, health care, social security and support for children.
— Red Square holds many historical symbols of our state.
— We will look at the red necropolis, bow to Lenin, to all thirty-two marshals and generals who won a great victory, to all the great scientists and talented people who received a start in life thanks to the unique transformations of Soviet power, be it Korolev, Keldysh, Kurchatov or our cosmonauts led by Gagarin.
Then we will move to Poklonnaya Hill, where we will visit the Museum of the Great Patriotic War. Our guests will "go" through the crucible of war, starting from the Brest Fortress, through all the great battles - near Moscow, Stalingrad, on the Oryol-Kursk Bulge - and "finish" the war with the capture of Berlin in May 1945. It was precisely during these days that the famous Berlin operation began, which ended on May 2 with the raising of the red flag over the Reichstag. And then in the Officers' House in Moscow, the forum participants will watch a concert by the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Russian Army named after Alexandrov.

— A large conference with the participation of all delegations will open tomorrow.
There will be my report and the participants' speeches. And then we will split into several sections.
Yesterday, a meeting dedicated to the birthday of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the birth of a genius, took place. I must thank everyone who took part in the event: these are our guests from different countries - major scientists, specialists, trade unionists, Komsomol, women's organizations.
— Where will the main discussions take place?
— In the Officers' House, which, by the way, is also symbolic. This is not just a wonderful cultural center on Suvorov Square with a comfortable hall. This is the heart of our victorious army.
We specifically chose it so that our guests could understand and feel what forces had gathered to defeat fascism in 1945, and why we are now all uniting together to defeat the Nazis, Banderites and NATO members who declared war on the Russian world.
— By the way, there is a wonderful exhibition on the first floor dedicated to the heroes of the Special Military Operation. Will you organize a banquet for the participants?
— We'll just feed our guests well.
