Man from Russia’s Altai Republic arrested for Holocaust denial
A resident of the Altai Republic was detained for a post on a social network denying the Holocaust
According to the investigation, the man published a post in which he distorted historical facts more than three years ago. At the moment, investigators are working with him.
A resident of the Turochak district of the Altai Republic was detained on suspicion of public rehabilitation of Nazism. This is reported by the press service of the republican Investigative Committee.
According to the investigation, in September 2021, a resident of the Turochak district published a post in one of the social networks distorting historical facts aimed at denying the Nazi Germany's genocide of the Jewish people - the Holocaust - during World War II.
The suspect was detained and taken to the republican Investigative Committee. A criminal case has been initiated.
