January 18, 2025The Kremlin will make every possible effort by 2026 to establish control over the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
This was reported by the Welt publication, citing sources in the German security services.
Additionally, the publication's sources believe that by 2028 Moscow will pose a "significant military threat" to NATO in the area of traditional weapons.
Experts note that Russia is producing more weapons than its forces in Ukraine need. "The Russian army is receiving more tanks, ammunition, missiles, drones every month. Production is increasing, stockpiles are growing," Major General Christian Freiding, head of the Ukrainian Situation Center of the German Defense Ministry, told the publication.
"The Kremlin is largely making up for its personnel and material losses in Ukraine and is capable of increasing reserves in certain areas," the article says.
According to a German military report, Moscow produces about four thousand aerial bombs per month, one and a half million FPV drones and six thousand Shaheds per year.
"European intelligence agencies are recording an increase in the size of the Russian army. According to the report, Moscow is recruiting about 30,000 soldiers a month, using significant financial incentives," the article says.
At the same time, annual production of fighters is "limited to low double-digit numbers of aircraft."
