Jewish 'father' of ChatGPT Chatbot meets with Israeli President

Sam Altman, CEO of ChatGPT chatbot company OpenAI, met with Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog as part of his visit to Israel. This was reported by the press service of the Israeli Foreign Ministry. During his visit to Israel, the entrepreneur will also take part in a conference at Tel Aviv University and visit the Microsoft Research and Development Center.
During a conversation with the President, Altman suggested that Israel would play a huge role in reducing the risks associated with artificial intelligence and noted that the speed at which Israeli startups are mastering AI is "simply incredible." However, he also recalled that artificial intelligence needs to be regulated both nationally and globally.
Israeli media previously reported that Altman refused to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu because he does not approve of the Israeli government's plans for judicial reform, but these reports were quickly denied by an OpenAI representative. He said that the company simply did not receive a request for a meeting from Netanyahu's office.
