Forbes: there are 36 dollar billionaires in Israel, Russian Vyacheslav Kantor is in first place among them
Forbes magazine published its annual ranking of the richest people in the world.
Among Israelis, Forbes named Vyacheslav (Moshe) Kantor with a fortune of $9.5 billion the richest. Vyacheslav Kantor, the largest shareholder of the Russian fertilizer manufacturer Akron, former president of the European Jewish Congress, is a citizen of Israel, Russia and Great Britain. He ranks 293rd in the world ranking.
The Forbes rating according to the "Israel" filter includes 36 dollar billionaires. It is worth noting that not all of them currently live in Israel.
In second place after Vyacheslav Kantor - Frank Lovi ($7.9 billion), followed in the top ten by Steph Wertheimer and his family ($7.6 billion - he died on March 25, but got into the rating), Teddy Sagi ($7.1 billion), Gil Shwed ($6.4 billion), Arnon Milchen ($6.3 billion), Sheri Arison ($6 billion), Michael Federman ($6 billion), Yitzhak Tshuva ($4.9 billion), Sylvan Adams ($2.8 billion).
