Andrei Novak: an inglorious end for the head of the Communists.

By Sergey Varchenko
June 27, 2024

With the scandal, the communist Andrei Novak, who reached the heights of power, similarly ends his political career.

Everything goes to the fact that Novak will soon have to lose all positions and regalia - Vice-Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and First Secretary of the CPRF. And this is not the most important thing - the reputation of the communist is completely destroyed and he faces a criminal sentence.

Blood-sucking mole

Andrei Novak became widely known in 2020 as one of the organizers of the coup in the party leadership, when Peter Medvedev was deprived of the post of first secretary of the regional branch of the CPRF. It is noteworthy that Novak actually owed his political career to Medvedev. It is likely that Andrei Petrovich would have lived in the low-prestigious status of a deputy of the Minusinsk City Council if Peter Ivanovich, who is also closely associated with the tomato capital, had not taken him under his wing.

It was thanks to Medvedev's patronage that Novak became a deputy of the regional Legislative Assembly in 2015 and joined the top leadership of the Krasnoyarsk CPRF cell.

But, apparently, Andrei Novak did not feel any sentiments for his benefactor - after a successful party rebellion, he took the chair of the first secretary, sending Peter Medvedev on an early political pension. Before leaving into oblivion, Medvedev only managed to whippingly characterize his favorite who betrayed him and other fellow party members "moles, stabbed a knife in the back and drinking blood."

Anyway, the 2021 elections to the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Communists were held under the leadership of Andrei Novak. And they achieved success - the new persec managed to attract powerful financial flows to its side, arranging an exchange on the principle of "money for a deputy mandate"

As a result of the elections, the CPRF, having taken eight deputy seats, became the main opposition force in the regional parliament.

However, this loud name sounds menacing only on paper, since the main principle of the Communists, headed by Novak, has remained the same since Medvedev's times - loyalty to the party of power first of all.

Immoral communist

The head of the manual oppositionist Communists, Andrei Novak, took the high position of vice-speaker in the parliament, and in 2023 the Persian Communist Party received the highest degree of trust from real government officials, administrators from the Grey House. Novak, like other deputies of the Legislative Assembly, was instructed to play the role of extras in the elections of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The CPRF candidate did a brilliant job with the mission, gaining just over five percent of the votes. The result, to be honest, is unenviable, but Novak strengthened his position in the political system, gained an additional share of fame and got the proud title of "candidate for governor".

On June 14, 2024, everything abruptly broke over. The former head of the Krasnoyarsk Krai Chess Federation Inna Yakovleva accused the deputy of the regional parliament Andrei Novak of a brutal beating. The victim sent a photo to her friend, where she can see her face with traces of beatings and Novak coming out of the patrol car. She also recorded a voice message, where she said the following:

- The father of my children wanted to kill me today. He threatened to kill me, and the children would be rotted in the orphanage if I apply for alimony. For exposing him in lies and treason. The one who beat me is Novak Andrey Petrovich, vice-speaker, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Photos and audio were widely distributed on the Internet, and the incident attracted the attention of all local media without exception, as well as a number of federal media. Andrei Novak initially denied his acquaintance with Inna Yakovleva, claiming that he had an official wife.

- I have a wife. Her name is Yulia Georgievna. The situation that came out in the media, I consider it a provocation, - the deputy tried to justify himself in hot pursuit.

But then, after the appearance of joint photos with Yakovleva on the Web, Novak took a vow of silence, deciding not to react to what was happening.

A week later, instead of the people's deputy, law enforcement agencies took the floor. On June 22, the Investigative Committee reported on a criminal case, which was opened against a 49-year-old deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Krasnoyarsk Krai. He is suspected of being torturing and threatening to kill his cohabitant. According to the investigation, during a quarrel in the apartment, the man punched the woman with his hands and feet, and also threatened with death. The victim took them seriously. According to the woman, this is not the first case of aggression by a cohabitant: in 2022, he beat her twice.

It's time to free the chairs

After the IC statement, it was that there was an invisible embargo on public discussion of Andrei Novak. Thus, the speaker of the Legislative Assembly, who was silent all week, Alexei Dodatko, finally gave a comment about his deputy. And, judging by the content of the speech of the head of parliament, the deprivation of Novak's deputy mandate is just around the corner.

- What Andrei Novak is accused of is not related to his deputy activities. But if he is proven guilty, he will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. There can be only one attitude to such actions - complete rejection. The form of parliamentary reaction to this situation will be determined by the ethics commission, which will meet in the coming days, - Dodatko responded belatedly.

At the same time, Andrei Novak's like-minded people on communist ideology also became more active. There is a strong feeling that yesterday's associates of the Persian, with whom he overthrew Medvedev, crossed Novak out of a bright party future without any regrets.

In addition to the main accusations, an additional incentive for this was the revealed fact that the Inna Yakovleva Foundation "Art in Science" in 2021 made a website for the Krasnoyarsk branch of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. The price of the contract was almost one and a half million rubles, plus Yakovleva's firm asked for 500 thousand rubles per month for promotion and 300 thousand for advertising. Apparently, the family contract Novak-Yakovleva simply mastered the party funds, which, of course, did not add to his sympathy from his party members.

As a result, the Krasnoyarsk Communists, who put an end to Novak, are currently preparing for the division of the first secretary's chair. Previously, the local "red" split into two camps, the tone of which is already traditionally set by deputies of the Legislative Assembly. The first, Alexander Boychenko, can be called a traditionalist - he wants to preserve Novak's "monetary-mandate" system, as well as his unspoken post of "gray cardinal" of Krasnoyarsk communists, putting a comrade at the head of the separation. The second, Vladimir Vakhtel, is a relatively new person on the local communist Olympus and therefore he is expected to reform fervor and, if successful, set up the party cell for himself.

However, it is possible that Moscow will directly intervene in the affairs of the scandalous Krasnoyarsk branch, sending a Persian far from the local twists and turns and scandals of the "Varyag" to the post.
