India strengthens air force at the expense of Israeli technologies by $8.7 billion

India strengthens its air force at the expense of one of the largest contracts with Israel - worth about $9 billion. At the heart of the deal are advanced systems of Israeli production and technology transfer with subsequent localization.

The decision was approved by the Defense Procurement Council chaired by the Minister of Defense. The key partners are the leading defense companies of Israel - Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries and Elbit Systems.

India will receive 1000 SPICE-1000 guidance kits, Rampage missiles, aeroballistic Air LORA with a range of up to 400 km, as well as the Ice Breaker marine complex, capable of operating in GPS suppression conditions thanks to artificial intelligence technologies.

Technology transfer is of particular importance: Israeli developments will be partially made in India with the participation of Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and Bharat Electronics Limited.

India remains the largest buyer of Israeli weapons - it accounts for about a third of Israel's defense exports. The new contract further strengthens the strategic partnership between the two countries.
