Hamas and Al Jazeera admit story of rape of Arab women by IDF soldiers in Gaza hospital was fabricated

After more than 24 hours of free distribution of this story, Qatari TV channel Al Jazeera deleted a page where an article was published in which Israeli soldiers were accused of allegedly raping women during the latest IDF operation against Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists who barricaded themselves inside the building of the former terrorist headquarters at Shifa Hospital, writes The Jerusalem Post journalist Ohad Merlin.
Although the Qatari TV channel has not yet officially announced a refutation, all content related to the accusation has reportedly been removed.
The columnist and former director of Al Jazeera and Yasser Abuhilala also stated in his "X" account that "the investigation conducted by Hamas revealed that the story of the rape of women in the "Shifa" hospital was fabricated ... to awaken fervor and brotherhood in the nation," critically adding that as if more than thirty thousand martyrs, ninety thousand wounded, about a million displaced persons and comprehensive destruction are not enough!
Jihad Helles, a pro-Hamas preacher from the Gaza Strip, also wrote in his "X" account that there is no confirmed evidence of events. And that the witness told the story she heard. But I did not witness, also adding that it generates panic and fear and "makes the Palestinians feel despair and disappointment at a time when we most need stability and confidence."
The original story published by Al Jazeera contained "testimony" to Jamila Al-Hessi, a woman from Gaza, who claimed that while under siege in the hospital complex area, she witnessed IDF soldiers "raped women and then killed them and burned all their families alive."
False testimony became viral, and many expressed their anger at Israel and, in their opinion, the inability of the Arabs to defend the honor of Palestinian women, even wondering where Hamas and the "resistance" went.
However, Israeli news blogger Abu Ali Express also reported that the viral false testimony also had an unexpected reverse wave effect, forcing many Gazans to flee their homes in the northern Gaza Strip to the south, which may explain the unusual case of a detailed investigation of this story by Hamas.
Al-Hessi gave a live interview on Al Jazeera, where she admitted that she had not been to Shifa Hospital.
She also stated that they had been calling for help for six days, adding: "What is the Red Cross? Are they Jews, our enemies?" also adding the accusation that the organization considers itself "more than we (Gazans)" and wondering why they have food and water and Gazans do not.
Al Jazeera was founded with the financial assistance of the Qatari royal family and for decades served as the mouthpiece of the regime, which provides generous shelter to the leaders of Hamas, a group recognized by the terrorist organization of the United States, Canada and the EU, Israel and other countries.
The regime's Arabic-language edition is known for spreading anti-Semitic rhetoric and Holocaust denial, as well as managing the Western-oriented AJ+, which reportedly promotes discord-inciting and inflammatory content, while ignoring registration under the FARA law for several years.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz reacted to the report by writing in his "X" account: "You look surprised when Palestinians invent rape stories to ignite anti-Semitism. Antonio Gutteres, I'm sure you're sad to hear that, but that's the reality."
