Great news from Denmark - Baltic Pipeline with full capacity, earlier than planned
Quote from Timothy Fitzpatrick on September 25, 2022, 10:31Great news has come to Energinet - the Danish operator of the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline. The pipeline is to reach full capacity a month or even two months ahead of schedule. The Baltic Pipe is a key investment for Poland's independence from Russian gas supplies. Now the Danes assure that obtaining the full capacity of the pipeline will be possible earlier than planned. This means that this year, twice as much gas will be able to flow to Poland than planned, provided that PGNiG negotiates additional contracts.
- "The earlier achievement of the full capacity of the Paltic Pipe gas pipeline on the Danish side should make it possible to double the amount of gas sent to Poland in the last quarter of this year"
- said the government plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure, Mateusz Berger.
He also stressed that the Polish part of the Baltic Pipe infrastructure is now fully ready to receive gas, which on October 1 will flow from the Norwegian shelf ahead of Denmark to Poland.
