Artificial intelligence is used to guard Israel

New developments in the Israeli military industry will not only completely protect the country's citizens from external threats, but will also make the Jewish state one of the world leaders in the use of artificial intelligence. This was stated by Director General of the Ministry of Defense of the country Eyal Zamir at the Herzliya Conference in Jerusalem, dedicated to the development of cyber technologies.
“Our mission is to turn Israel into a center for artificial intelligence, similar to our role in cybertechnology,” Zamir was quoted by The Times of Israel as saying.
According to him, a special unit has been created in the military department to control the evolution of artificial intelligence and the implementation of its achievements in developments, the use of which will become a real "revolution on the battlefield." Without revealing details, Eyal Zamir mentioned the use of artificial intelligence in deterring Iran's nuclear program and the possibility of using it in a strike on its nuclear facilities.
“The systems we have developed on the basis of artificial intelligence are capable of delivering strikes so quickly and on a scale that no one has ever seen before,” said Zamir, according to whom the same developments can be effectively used in the civilian sphere. The Ministry of Defense of the country, at the request of the publication, refused to provide details on the implementation and financing of developments based on artificial intelligence by the department.
