A Little Encouragement
Just a quick little blurb that we are living in interesting times. Never before have we had so much, the poor lives better than the kings of the past. We have free unlimited access to all the information humanity has produced, we can travel across the globe in a day, the stores are stocked with fresh food, and our lives are filled with comforts that people a couple hundred years ago could only dream of. Never before has the shadow hung so heavily, there is so much sin and evil in the world and the evil power is consolidating, growing, and is unopposed.
Yet no matter what comes this is a reminder that the best things in life are free. Health, love, charity, hope, the air we breathe, sunrise and sunset, clarity of thought and peace of mind have no price. True friendship cannot be bought, nor can good company be sold at any price. Quiet reflection and tranquility are like the stars ordered in the heavens beyond the cares of the world. The things which make life living are the same as they were yesterday, gifts given freely to us and that is a comforting thought.
Indeed. But for how much longer?
